IANWILL Releases New Single and Music Video “Split Shape”
French metalcore band IANWILL has released a new single and accompanying music video titled “Split Shape.” The track serves as the second preview of the group’s forthcoming full-length album. This new release directly follows their previous single, “Phantom Feed,” as the band continues to share new material from their current studio sessions.
Musically, the new track blends heavy guitar riffs with strong melodic elements. Thematically, “Split Shape” explores concepts of individuality and the resistance against societal conformity. The narrative focuses on the internal tension of trying to preserve a unique identity in an environment that constantly pushes toward uniformity, exploring the struggle of maintaining oneself in a world designed to enforce the norm.
Operating out of France, the group builds their sound by combining modern metalcore with death metal elements and atmospheric melodies. Following their 2019 debut album, the band shifted toward a more djent-inspired, aggressive direction with their 2025 EP, Echoes. IANWILL is currently continuing development on their upcoming full-length record, expanding on the modern sonic foundation established during their recent release cycle.

Temple of the Absurd Announces Comeback Single “Prayer” and Upcoming Third Album
German metal band Temple of the Absurd has announced their return with a new single titled “Prayer.” The track is scheduled for release on June 19 via Fireflash Records. It serves as the lead preview for the group’s upcoming third studio album, which is slated to arrive later this autumn.
The new single was composed and produced by founding guitarist Schrödey at his Absurd Studio, written thematically as a tribute to lost friends and companions. The forthcoming full-length record will expand on this return by featuring a combination of brand-new compositions alongside reimagined tracks from the band’s 1990s back catalog.
Originally formed in 1993 by vocalist Sabina Classen and Schrödey, the group established their sound by blending heavy metal with dark, atmospheric elements across two studio albums before going on an extended hiatus. Following their recent reformation, Temple of the Absurd is scheduled to perform their first reunion show at the 2026 Wacken Open Air festival.

Valkyrie’s Fire Announces New Album ‘Out of Darkness’; Releases “Burning Sky” Single
Nashville symphonic power metal band Valkyrie’s Fire has officially announced their upcoming full-length album, Out of Darkness. Ahead of the record’s release, the band dropped a new lead single titled “Burning Sky” this past Friday. The track features guest vocal contributions from Mikael Sehlin of the Swedish metal band Amaranthe. To accompany the single, the band is scheduled to premiere an official music video for the track this upcoming Tuesday, June 16.
Operating out of Nashville, Tennessee, the group focuses on a heavy, cinematic sound that blends traditional power metal instrumentation with grand orchestral arrangements. The new track highlights this sonic direction, contrasting the band’s driving guitar work and symphonic elements with Sehlin’s aggressive vocal delivery. Production duties for the new album and its lead single were handled by Joey Grimaldi.
Out of Darkness is scheduled for release later this year on September 18 via Eclipse Records, with physical and digital distribution handled by The Orchard. The lead preview track, “Burning Sky,” is currently available to stream across all major digital platforms ahead of Tuesday’s video premiere.

Shadowborne Releases “Wolf And The Queen” Music Video; Album Out June 19
Swedish power metal band Shadowborne has released a music video for their new single, “Wolf And The Queen.” The track serves as the fourth preview of the group’s upcoming debut full-length album, Heaven’s Falling, which is scheduled for release on June 19 via Scarlet Records.
Fronted by a female vocalist, the band leans into a heavy, cinematic sound built on driving rhythms and strong melodic hooks.
