Hellfest 2026. Clisson, France. The British Metalcore Architects hit Main Stage 2 just as things start to cool down after the hottest day of the festival. So hot in fact that beers got sold only in half pints.

We survived, though, and Architects starts with Elegy, blasting the massive evening crowd to pieces. The alternance between harsh and clean vocals is executed in excellent fashion, while the mix has so much bass that it simply pushes you back.

Sometimes it does so to the point of pushing the guitars back, too. It is intelligible, but it is not the best mix at a festival where most bands tend to sound very good.

All is completed by very apt, glitchy visuals that go quite well with the music.

With their heavy riffage, melodies and serious chunk of sampling and processing, it is a fun show, but the crowd reaction remains mostly with those closer to the stage. The rest of the crowd enjoys it rather calmly.

Before Curse, vocalist Sam Carter, impressed by the massive crowd, says that being on that stage is the best feeling in the world. You cannot blame him, and for Broken Mirror, he asks people to get on the shoulders of the person they came with.

A lot of them do, providing a very nice image. 

My highlight is When We Were Young, that riff and catchy chorus sounding great, with a powerful Animals closing the set.

Former Supertramp co-frontman Roger Hodgson‘s first two solo albums, In The Eye Of The Storm and Hai Hai, have been remastered at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios and will be reissued through Universal Records on August 21.

Following on from the recent Supertamp series of vinyl reissues, both featuring artwork faithful to the original releases.

Hodgson left Supertramp when their 1983 tour in support of the previous year’s …Famous Last Words… culminated in September, to spend more time with his family, having recently relocated from Los Angeles to Northern California. He’d recorded a solo album, Sleeping With the Enemy, prior to …Famous Last Words…, but decided against releasing it.

He released what became his debut solo album, In The Eye Of The Storm, in 1984. Selling over two million copies, it remains his best-selling solo release. Hai Hai followed three years later, although prior to the album’s release, Hodgson broke both wrists falling from a loft at his home and could not promote the album sufficiently. The album featured Land Ho, a song he and Rick Davies had written for Supertramp in 1974, but never used.

Hodgson worked with Trevor Rabin in 1990, co-writing the Yes song Walls that featured on the band’s 1994 album Talk, as well as Rabin’s 2003 archival release 90124, but he declined an offer to replace Jon Anderson in the band. Since then, he’s released one more solo album, Open The Door in 2000 and two live releases, Rites Of Passage in 1997, which featured five previously unrecorded songs and a rare guest appearance from Supertramp’s John Helliwell, and Classics Live in 2010.

FABIO FRIZZI Featuring F2F BAND will bring the legendary composer’s celebrated live tribute to Lucio Fulci back to the U.S. and Canada this fall.

FABIO FRIZZI, the iconic Italian composer, orchestrator and conductor behind more than one hundred film and television scores, has announced a Fall 2026 North American tour for FRIZZI 2 FULCI – THE CONCERT – FABIO FRIZZI Featuring F2F BAND. The run begins September 23 in Brooklyn, NY and continues through major U.S. and Canadian markets, with support from ETHAN LEE MCCARTHY on select dates.

Known worldwide for his unforgettable collaborations with director Lucio Fulci, FABIO FRIZZI helped define the sound of Italian genre cinema through landmark scores including The Beyond, The City of the Living Dead, Zombie 2, Manhattan Baby, and A Cat in the Brain. His work reached new generations of listeners when Quentin Tarantino featured the main theme from Seven Notes in Black in Kill Bill: Vol. 1.

The FRIZZI 2 FULCI project was born in 2013 on Halloween night at London’s Union Chapel. Since then, FABIO FRIZZI and the F2F BAND have brought Fulci’s cinematic universe to life for audiences around the world, blending horror-score atmosphere, progressive rock, and live performance into an immersive concert experience.

The 2026 run marks the project’s eleventh tour in the United States and will feature longtime members Riccardo Rocchi, Alessio Contorni, and Francesco Saguto, alongside Dave Neabore on bass and Christopher Hawkind on drums.

My Chemical Romance have revealed that they are going to be celebrating the release of their 15th anniversary edition of their record ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys’ in style around their huge shows at Wembley Stadium.

Battery City Underground: A Release Party will take place on July 09, just before the band’s second show of their three show run at the iconic stadium.

It will feature a DJ set from Mr Sean Smith, appearances from DJ Kobra Kid and DJ Party Poison (!), and probably even more surprises. It’s like you’re back in California in 2019.

Tickets are £5 and the event will take place at Boxpark Wembley, which is just a short walk from the ground.

The 15th anniversary edition of ‘Danger Days’ will be released on July 10 via Reprise/Warner Records. The album will include the original tracklist fully remastered as well as nine bonus tracks. From ‘We Don’t Need Another Song About California’ to ‘Mastaa of Ravenkroft’, ‘Zero Percent’ to ‘F.T.W.W.W’, it’s the first time these tracks will be available on both streaming and vinyl.

Alissa White-Gluz is surprised that the news of her joining Dragonforce wasn’t leaked beforehand.

The ex-Arch Enemy frontwoman announced that she was now part of the power metal favourites in May, taking on a co-singer role alongside longtime vocalist Marc Hudson.

During a new interview with Chaoszine, she says that she assumed people already knew about her new position, as she and other members of the band had been spotted together in public multiple times.

“We were walking around together,” she says (via Blabbermouth). “I mean, people took photos of us together for months already. We were surprised that nobody knew!”

She adds that it’s “great” being part of the band due to how involved the members are in details of the live production. Guitarist Sam Totman builds the sets for their stage, while co-guitarist Herman Li takes care of “all the ins and outs of the tech”.

“Everybody’s, like, super involved,” she explains, “and I’ve always been like that too, because I come from working in theatre. I worked in theatre for many years, where I was the stage manager and set designer, and I loved that.

“And so to be around people who really care – they care that the lighting looks good, they care that the props are in place, they care that the audience has a great time – I am super, super detail-oriented like that also, and it’s really cool to be around other people who are like that.”

Dragonforce are one of a number projects to which White-Gluz has dedicated herself following her exit from Arch Enemy last November. The day after she parted ways with the Swedish melodic death metal veterans, she released the solo single The Room Where She Died, taken from her as-yet-unannounced debut solo album.

In March, the singer announced that she’d formed a new power trio called Blue Medusa, rounded out by guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia. Since then they’ve released two singles, Checkmate and Flying Monkey. During the Chaoszine interview, White-Gluz calls the band her “main focus and project”.

After making her live debut with Dragonforce at Welcome To Rockville festival last month, White-Gluz will join the band on a North American tour celebrating 20 years of their fan-favourite album Inhuman Rampage. The shows kick off at The Observatory North Park in San Diego on November 13 and wrap up at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on December 13. See all dates and details via the Dragonforce website.

Dragonforce are yet to release any music with White-Gluz as their full-time co-singer, but she appeared as a guest on a reimagined version of the band’s song Burning Heart last year.

As White-Gluz keeps herself busy with her multiple bands, Arch Enemy are carrying on with new singer Lauren Hart. She sang on their comeback single To The Last Breath in February and will join them on a run of festival sets and headline shows across Europe this summer. From October 5, the band will co-headline a North American tour with The Black Dahlia Murder.
