Suicide Silence will embark on the 29-date “Reminders Of Hell Tour” this fall, with support from Emmure, Angelmaker and Synestia. The trek launches November 6 in Riverside, California and concludes December 13 in Los Angeles. General on-sale is Friday, July 24 at 10 am local time.

Suicide Silence’s seventh album, Remember… You Must Die, was released in March 2023 via Century Media, produced and mixed by Taylor Young (Nails, Xibalba, Vitriol), with cover artwork by necrosurrealist painter David Van Gough. For the fall tour, guitarist Ian Waye of Soreption is filling in for Chris Garza, who is on hiatus from the group. Garza also hosts The Garza Podcast, in which he interviews musicians about metal history and culture.

Suicide Silence was formed in Riverside, California. Alex Lopez, the band’s longtime drummer, exited in April 2022; Ernie Iniguez, who recorded drums on the band’s Become The Hunter album, has held the position since. Vocalist Hernán “Eddie” Hermida — formerly of All Shall Perish — joined Suicide Silence in 2013 following the passing of founding frontman Mitch Lucker, who died on November 1, 2012 after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle crash in Huntington Beach, California.

Tank will release a deluxe edition of their 1982 debut album Filth Hounds Of Hades on August 14 via Cleopatra Records, marking the first release in a planned series of Tank reissues on the label. The expanded set arrives as both a CD and vinyl edition, trailed by a video for the original album track “Turn Your Head Around.”

Tank was formed by Algy Ward — formerly of The Saints and The Damned — alongside brothers Mark and Peter Brabbs. Frequently described by the U.K. press as Motörhead’s baby brothers, the three-piece enlisted Motörhead guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke — fresh from the band’s own tumultuous years of success — as producer for the sessions. When Filth Hounds Of Hades hit stores in early 1982, Sounds magazine described Tank as harbingers of “a new, frighteningly brutal breed of breakneck rock. Here is metal that takes everything to the limit… Metal for maniacs.

“All ten numbers are played tight and dirty and given a tough sympathetic production from Fast Eddie. Left-hook follows right-hook with scarcely time to draw breath in between. But Tank’s brand of rabid Lemmy-rock is loaded with enough lunacy and individual touches to allow it to stand up on its own merits.”

Mark Brabbs recalled: “Eddie did a good job. We’d toured Europe, we’d really worked those songs, so when we got into the studio to record Filth Hounds Of Hades, we knew what we were doing. It had the rawness and attitude that we actually had as youngsters, so it’s thanks to Eddie for… just letting it happen.”

Instantly proclaimed one of the finest debuts of the entire NWOBHM movement, the album was an immediate hit across Europe — Brabbs recalls the band being mobbed when they played a festival in Finland. The deluxe edition appends the original 10-track album with the band’s very first demo (also produced by Clarke), alternate versions and non-album gems from the band’s first two singles, a John Peel radio session recorded in March 1982, and eight live tracks taped in Dortmund, Germany, during Tank’s maiden European tour.

Original Tank frontman Algy Ward died in May 2023 at the age of 63 following serious health issues. Guitarist Peter Brabbs died on July 5, 2025, at the age of 68. The deluxe edition of Filth Hounds Of Hades is the first of multiple planned Tank reissues on Cleopatra Records.

Mikaela Oppenheimer used to be in the Brooklyn emo band Hello Mary, while Hayden McGarvey is a former member of the Philadelphia shoegaze crew Bleary Eyed. The two of them got to know each other when their bands toured together in 2024, and now they’ve joined forces to form Trusselina, a new duo whose music doesn’t sound anything like their previous two bands.

70000 Tons of Metal has announced the first 14 acts confirmed for its 2027 edition, sailing from Miami, Florida to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas from January 14–18, 2027. The first confirmed lineup includes Æther Realm, Arch Enemy, Brainstorm, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Enforcer, Evergrey, Equilibrium, Melechesh, Moonspell, Mors Principium Est, Obscura, Thulcandra, Uli Jon Roth and Warbringer, with 46 more acts to be announced.

A featured highlight of the cruise will be two sets from guitar legend and Scorpions alumnus Uli Jon Roth, both honoring 1975 Scorpions albums celebrating their 50th anniversary. Andy Piller, CEO, founder and “Skipper” of the cruise, said: “As part of his two sets on 70000 Tons of Metal, Uli will be paying tribute to two iconic Scorpions albums, both celebrating their 50th anniversary. In his first set, Uli will perform Virgin Killer in its entirety. In his second performance, he’ll heavily focus on In Trance. We’re delighted he’s joining the party next year!”

Roth is widely credited as a founding architect of neoclassical metal, having revolutionized rock guitar by fusing blues-based technique with intricate European classical influences during his time with Scorpions from 1973 to 1978. He subsequently founded the Sky Academy, which offers immersive masterclass seminars focused on unlocking musicians’ full creative potential.

Additional bands will be announced in the coming weeks, with an additional lineup announcement happening soon.

Wild Pink’s upcoming album Still Coming Down feels a lot like MJ Lenderman cosplay, but can we even be mad about it? It sounds good, and Lenderman himself works on the record, so he must not mind. “250 Is The New 500” — which follows “Round Of Applause At The End Of The World” and “Box Store” — has a man taking a Cybertruck to his favorite bar (poetically called Hard Luck) to bet on his phone and drink alone. That’s a Manning Fireworks guy alright. But that album didn’t have a whole lot of shredding, and this one does. Thank god for that. Check out “250 Is The New 500” below.
