  • Listening Now : Lukka- TomBoi

Lukka taps into vibrant duality on Tomboi, a synth-driven indie cut that blurs the lines between psychedelic rock and modern alt-pop. Built around a hypnotic riff born on synth, the track unfolds with a fluid, almost instinctive energy, letting melody and emotion lead the way. There’s a playful yet empowering core at its heart, celebrating identity, contrast, and self-acceptance with effortless cool. As shimmering synths and layered textures build—especially in its standout later moments—Tomboi becomes a bold, self-assured statement that embraces both sides of the spectrum without compromise.

  • Unpeople Return With Ferocious Single ‘Clouds’

Unpeople are making a ferocious return ahead of a huge summer of festival appearances, unleashing thundering single ‘Clouds’.

Out now via SharpTone Records, it’s a whirlwind track with the kind of hooks that will get lodged in your head for days after your first listen.

Speaking on the message behind ‘Clouds’, frontman Jake Crawford has shared:

clouds is essentially about not letting yourself be influenced by what other people think you should be doing to get ahead artistically, and trusting your own vision and process. I could feel myself being pulled in lots of directions when we started the band and I’m glad we stuck to our guns. I feel like this song is an excellent representation of us doing just that: ‘not buying it’ – i.e. quick fixes or hopping on trends – be it musically or the way we present ourselves as a unit.”

This summer, you’ll be able to catch Unpeople at plenty of festivals across the UK and Europe.

  • Listening Now : Honey I’m Home – Hyperspace Mountain

Honey I’m Home step into a heavier, more expansive sonic territory with Hyperspace Mountain, a dense and emotionally charged shoegaze cut that balances intensity with introspection. Driven by layered guitars and subtle electronic textures, the track surges forward with confidence while exploring themes of self-erasure and the frustration of constantly taking a back seat. There’s a compelling contrast between its powerful, almost overwhelming sound and its inward-looking subject matter, giving it a raw emotional edge. Hyperspace Mountain captures a band evolving fast, blending energy, vulnerability, and modern shoegaze aesthetics into something strikingly immediate.

  • NECROCCULTUS – Mexican Death Metal Force Streams New Album: The Afterdeath Blackness

Mexican death metal force NECROCCULTUS have made their upcoming full-length album The Afterdeath Blackness available for exclusive streaming in advance via Death Metal Promotion, offering listeners a complete immersion into their latest work ahead of its official release.

Set to be unleashed on April 24th, 2026, through Terror From Hell Records, the album stands as a powerful reaffirmation of the band’s unwavering dedication to pure and uncompromising death metal. Across its eight tracks, The Afterdeath Blackness delivers a carefully balanced blend of crushing riffs, intricate songwriting, and a dense, ritualistic atmosphere that reflects decades of underground commitment.

Stream the album at THIS LOCATION.

Proud standard-bearers of the purest and most solemn death metal tradition, NECROCCULTUS return with a record that both honors and revitalizes the genre’s roots. Forged through years of underground militancy and unwavering dedication to the death metal cause, the band channels its accumulated experience into an album that feels timeless yet fiercely alive. The Afterdeath Blackness stands as a statement of intent: death metal in its most essential, uncompromising form.

    Track-list:

    I. Intro (The Highest Sphere Of The Dead)
    II. Slaughter Of Bestiality
III. Transition To The Tortuous Reign
    IV. Unburied Hellish Presences
    V. Dread Midnight Entities
    VI. Multiform Devourer Of Souls
    VII. Old Coffin Miasma
    VIII. The Afterdeath Blackness

Across eight tracks, the album showcases everything that has defined NECROCCULTUS since their inception: massive riffs, carefully crafted songwriting and a dark atmosphere rooted in ritualistic heaviness. The compositions are elaborate without ever becoming self-indulgent, balancing complexity with raw impact and maintaining a natural flow that keeps the listener immersed from beginning to end. A constant sense of menace runs through the record, while a subtle veil of epic grandeur elevates the material beyond mere brutality.

Rather than chasing trends or modern gimmicks, NECROCCULTUS embrace the spirit of classic death metal, filtering it through decades of underground commitment and artistic growth. The result is an album that sounds both reverent and commanding, a work that speaks directly to devoted followers of the old ways while reaffirming the band’s place among today’s torchbearers of authentic death metal.

NECROCCULTUS was formed in 2003 as a five-piece band consisting of César (guitar), Omar (bass), Chago (guitar), Daniel (drums), and Isaías (growls). During the following three years, this original line-up recorded several releases, including the brutal full-length Encircling The Mysterious Necrorevelation (2005) for Sempiternal Productions (US), a 7” EP for Blood Harvest Records (Sweden), a three-way split CD with Sanctifier and Throneum on Warfuck Records (Colombia), and a split LP with Shub-Niggurath released by Iron Bonehead Productions (Germany).

In 2024, founding member Isaías H. reactivated NECROCCULTUS alongside a new line-up: Roel (guitar), Néstor (bass), Alex (guitar), Dante (drums), and Isaías (growls). After performing several live shows, the band entered the studio between July and October 2025 to record their new abominable full-length, The Afterdeath Blackness, featuring eight tracks of bestial, unholy death metal.

The Afterdeath Blackness was recorded, mixed and mastered at MAT Studio.
Vocals has been recorded at The Cave Home Studio, between July and October 2025.

  • Sammy Hagar Announces UK Tour Venue Change

Sammy Hagar and The Best Of All Worlds Band

In a move that will frustrate many who have already paid for travel and hotels, Sammy Hagar and his Best Of All Worlds band have changed the venues for his UK tour, with shows now in Wolverhampton, Manchester, and three nights at the new British Airways ARC in London.

“After waiting 30 years to come back, we really wanted to get this right,” Sammy Hagar said. “Several factors pushed us toward revising this tour, but after wrapping our Las Vegas residency last month at Dolby Live, where the sound, the technology, and the more intimate size really let us connect with the audiences, it was clear that we wanted to deliver an experience like that for our fans in England.

“When I heard our promoter was opening a similar tech-forward venue in London, that really sealed the deal for me. Three nights, a fresh set every night, and I get to stay in London, one of my favourite cities in the world, for a week. That’s the Best of All Worlds.”

Fans who purchased tickets for the original UK dates will be contacted directly and offered priority presale access for the new shows, along with a 10% merchandise offer on show nights.

The band thanks fans for their continued support and looks forward to delivering this newly enhanced live experience across the UK.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, 24 April at 10 am via aegpresents.co.uk/event/sammy-hagar.

Continuing the longer days, means it is just so much nicer turning up to shows without the dark, cold and damp in the air.

Opening the night’s proceedings are Welsh rockers Scarlett Rebels, a band that includes a member of the Townsend family, so great things are expected. They do a fabulous job of setting the tone for the evening, providing some tightly played good ol’ rock music, throughout the show every member of the band looks as though they are genuinely enjoying putting on a classic performance. A feeling that is reciprocated by the crowd as there seemed to be no hesitation in heads starting to nod along. There is always an expectation that the crowd may be parse for support bands, that’s not the case this evening, already they are packing together like sardines.

Scarlet Rebels brought a very original sound to the show tonight, one that grabbed the attention of Epic fairly quickly. A performance that was a great introduction to the band for those not already familiar, even with the slight hiccup of the guitar amp being cranked a little too loud.

Fun, well performed rock music, you can hear certain influences throughout, but still keeping their own style.

Now for the main event – Massive Wagons!

They have upgraded their production since they were last in town, an increased LED light rig now cover the back wall, highlighting they are evolving the live experience that they provide.

Coming on stage to the iconic ‘Pretty Vacant’ goes down very well indeed, with majority of the people in the room singing along. From this they launch into one of their latest singles ‘Everywhere We Go’, a feel good song that has a somewhat deeper tone. However, as with almost everything Barry and the gang do, this has a very fun, upbeat tempo and sound. If this is the direction of their next album. It is only going to be a great record.

That initial momentum continues throughout the set, a feeling that is infectious with the whole of the crowd getting involved with ‘Fun While It Lasted’, ‘Please Stay Calm’ and ‘Missing On TV’. All three of which are from the new era of Massive Wagons, a nice little nod for the fans that only got into them in more recent years.

Holding a consistent energy through out, the mix of new and older songs fits nicely and shows their creative consistency, fans of all their music are catered for this evening. It is all completely dialed in, no matter what age of song they are playing, 2018’s ‘Back To The Stack‘ or 2024’s ‘The Good Die Young‘ theres no fluctuation in the energy from either the band, or the crowd, with every single body in here is having as much fun as possible.

This is fully what was expected of the the evening; Hard rock that is well thought out and excessively light hearted. The sort of show that leaves no one disappointed. Whilst it is common to see a band enjoying themselves on stage, it is hard to remember a performance which match the feelings of this show.
