CARNIVORE A.D. Stream Second Single “I Stand Alone” Ahead Of Debut EP “Transmutation”
Carnivore A.D. is stepping out from behind the legacy with their first original material. The New York hardcore and metal outfit — featuring bassist/vocalist Baron Misuraca (Sheer Terror, Darkside NYC), guitarist Chuck Lenihan (Crumbsuckers, Christian Death), and drummer Joe Cangelosi (Kreator, Massacre, Whiplash) — has shared “I Stand Alone”, the second single from their debut studio EP Transmutation, due 03/27 via Apostasy Records. A lyric video for the track is now streaming.
Formed as a tribute outfit built around the explosive catalogue of Carnivore and co-founded with the full endorsement of original drummer Louie Beateaux, Carnivore A.D. has spent years keeping Peter Steele‘s primal vision alive on stages from Hellfest to Maryland Deathfest. Transmutation marks the point where that mission shifts — not by erasing the past, but by building something new from it. The EP, also dedicated to the memory of Keith Alexander, represents the band’s first attempt at original songwriting: material that doesn’t try to replicate the Carnivore legacy so much as grow out of it.
Beateaux puts it plainly: “Think of Carnivore A.D. as a renowned dining establishment where its chef passed on years ago, but the recipes remain, and folks still want to dine there instead of cooking the food themselves. And Chef Pete wouldn’t mind because his friends are making it with love.”
Over the past years, Carnivore A.D. has appeared at established metal festivals (including Brutal Assault and Hellfest) as well as stages at events like Rock Hard Festival, Lisbon Tattoo Rock Fest, Ruhrpott Metal Meeting, and Maryland Deathfest, reinforcing its reputation through consistent live performances and international presence.
Transmutation was recorded and mixed at Soundlodge by Jörg Uken, with artwork by Simon Bossert. The five-track EP runs as follows:
- Prologue
- Transmutation
- I Stand Alone
- Social Decomposition
- Mine Is the Hand
The band has a run of live dates lined up across the US and Europe through April, including a stop at Inferno Festival in Oslo on 04/02. Full dates below.

Infected Rain release new song “Strangers” with a music video
After a week of teasing the release on Instagram, Infected Rain have unveiled their new single “Stranger,” accompanied by a music video.
Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands shared the following about the track:
“‘Stranger’ came from that moment when you no longer fully recognize yourself. It’s about the inner fight with your identity, the roles you’ve held onto for too long, and the distance that grows between who you are and who you think you should be. In the end, it’s about becoming strangers to ourselves… and trying to find the way back.”

AVALANCHE OF PAIN is JCRACKER’s Single Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
JCRACKER introduces “AVALANCHE OF PAIN” with a graceful arpeggio that recalls the emotional sweep of classic bands like Scorpions.AVALANCHE OF PAIN is JCRACKER’s Single Out Now
The tone is warm and melodic, and the inclusion of crowd reactions gives the track a live, breathing presence.
You don’t just hear the song—you feel the shared space between artist and audience.
However, this isn’t nostalgia for its own sake. The arpeggiated guitar sets a reflective mood, yet the lyrics anchor the experience in raw honesty. The song explores the aftermath of a broken relationship, when only memories remain. Those memories feel beautiful and painful at the same time. That duality becomes the emotional core of the track.
The arrangement is built carefully. The verses stay intimate and controlled, allowing the storytelling to take center stage. Then the chorus rises with strength, delivering a wave of melodic intensity that mirrors the title. The phrase “Avalanche of Pain” doesn’t sound exaggerated. It feels earned.
In addition, the live atmosphere adds authenticity. The audience responses amplify key lyrical moments. The emotional impact deepens. You sense connection rather than isolation. The song transforms into a shared confession rather than a private lament.
The production blends modern tools with a classic rock soul. The instrumentation remains polished, yet it never loses warmth. The rhythm section supports the melody without overshadowing it. Then comes the final guitar solo. It doesn’t chase speed or flash. It reinforces the emotional weight and guides the listener toward a satisfying close.
Furthermore, this is a theme almost everyone can relate to. Relationships end. Memories linger. Healing takes time. JCRACKER captures that universal truth without slipping into cliché.
“AVALANCHE OF PAIN” stands as a heartfelt rock anthem shaped by introspection and resilience. It balances intimacy with power and reflection with release.

Carnivore A.D. Slow Things Down with “I Stand Alone”
Sometimes in metal you don’t need to go a million miles an hour to show you’re a buncha bad so-and-sos. Just look at Carnivore A.D.‘s new single “I Stand Alone”, which trades the speed and vitriol of their previous release “Social Decomposition” for the dour and brooding sound of this new cut.
Released ahead of their upcoming EP Transmutation, this new track sees Peter Steele’s old speed/thrash/crossover metal band step into slightly Type O Negative territory on this one, if only in terms of tempo and timbre. Which makes sense, since the EP is dedicated with “love and honor to the memories of Peter Steele and Keith Alexander.”
Comprised of New York City hardcore and metal stalwarts Baron Misuraca (vocals & bass – ex-SHEER TERROR), Chuck Lenihan (guitar – ex-CRUMBSUCKERS), and Joe Cangelosi (drums – ex-KREATOR, WHIPLASH, MASSACRE), the new track is just one of five new tracks coming out at the end of the month. And while it’s not the same band as Carnivore once was, Carnivore A.D. was given the blessing by original founding drummer Louie Beateaux, who said this about the band when the first single dropped back in January:
“Think of Carnivore AD as a renowned dining establishment where it’s Chef passed on years ago but the recipes remain and folks still want to dine there instead of cooking the food themselves. And Chef Pete wouldn’t mind because his friends are making it with love.”
Transmutation will be released on March 27 via Apostasy Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
