Star Moles is the “sci-fi DIY wi-fi band” of Emily Moales, a New Hampshire native posted up in Philly. Last week she followed up her lo-fi 2025 mini-album Snack Monster with a more produced offering called Highway To Hell that merges ’70s folk-pop aesthetics with 2020s Bandcamp sensibilities. Friend of the site Josh Terry recommended…

Two months after Swedish power metal outfit Sabaton was forced to shelf a North American tour after Pär Sundström needed treatment for inflammation in his arms, we now have rescheduled dates.
Set to kick off now on September 23 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and coming to a close on December 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the tour now features a stop in Orlando and a second show in Winnepeg because of high demand. Other stops along the tour’s route include Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, Philly, and Atlanta, to name a few.
That being said, the band said they were unfortunately going to have to cancel the previously scheduled shows in Tampa, Greensboro, and Pittsburgh — though they said there could be some news coming soon for the “Steel City”. Anyone with tickets to those now canceled shows should be able to get a refund at their official point of sale.
For everyone else, the new tour dates are listed below. If you’re so inclined, you should check out where they’ll be coming to a venue near you and get your tickets today.

Well, that didn’t last long. On Tuesday, Courtney Love posted an Instagram video of former Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, setting it to Hole’s 1999 classic “Malibu.” Love captioned the post, “So do we tell the kids about the tour @xmadmx ?” Naturally, this led to plenty of speculation about a Hole reunion, a possibility that Love has alternately teased and refuted many times over the years. But now, Love herself is here to clarify things: “No Hole reunion.” Damn.

Mexico City modern metallers Red Sands released their new six-track EP, Evocations, back in January. Today they reveal this video is for the track, “System,” a song the band say is at the heart of the recent release.
“‘System’ is a song to denounce the corruption of our politicians, the hypocrisy of the clergy, and the environmental catastrophe caused by rapacious corporations,” the band say about the song. “Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death, the Four Horsemen, morphed into evil political, religious, and economic powers that have shaped our lives in recent years.”
Formed in Mexico City in 2012 when brothers Daniel and Eric Novelo joined forces with their cousin Juan Carlos León, Red Sands play a unique blend of classic and metal metal. Produced by Daniel Novelo and featuring contributions from acclaimed engineers and guest artists, Evocations also includes artwork created by vocalist and visual artist Jonathan Corral.

Pennsylvania metal outfit THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE are pleased to unleash their video for their latest single, “Make It To Heaven,” featuring David Simonich of Signs Of The Swarm. The track comes by way of the band’s forthcoming new full-length, The Dead Ones, set for release on April 17th via Metal Blade Records.
Offers vocalist Tyler Beam on the track, “Growing up as a young artist in a conservative Christian environment, I was no stranger to being influenced to take different paths. As I grew up, I began to realize that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You’re here now and no matter what anyone could tell you, no one knows what comes after all of this. You have one chance to experience being human, so why squander it on anything. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do, go out into the world and turn it upside down.”

Intense and intensely personal, The Dead Ones marks THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE‘s Metal Blade Records debut. For the ten original tracks of pulverizing deathcore produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland of Pennsylvania’s Atrium Audio, the band focused on the guitar, bass, and drum tones as well as the mix/master to achieve what guitarist Wyatt McLaughlin calls, “a super-thick sonic output and ‘rolling-tank’-like feel.“
In addition to Simonich on “Make It to Heaven,” the record features guest appearances by Nate Johnson (ex-Fit For An Autopsy) on “Rat Trap,” Alan Grnja of Distant on “Dollar To A Dime“, and original THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE vocalist Storm Strope on “XXXXXXXXXX.”
Notes Beam, “After a few years of touring and writing together, I think the four of us have really began to figure out what this new era is. We love and have always loved what this band was at its core, and we don’t ever want to stray from it, and with this album we have found a way to consolidate what makes this band unique at its core along with bringing our own new flavors to the table. We wanted it to be the heaviest shit you’ve ever heard while also digging itself into your brain so it can stick in your head. We’ve found what kind of songs we like to write and we’re sticking to it.“
The Dead Ones was recorded with a six-string baritone Viper from ESP-LTD tuned to Drop F, the same tuning used on the band’s 2012 Warpath EP. To elevate the intensity, the band also used an Earthquaker Devices Sunn O))) and Keeley Octa Psi drop tune pedal on certain sections.
The Dead Ones will be released on CD and digital formats as well as vinyl in the following color variants:
Tan Smoke (US)
Purple Marbled (US)
Grey Black Marbled (EU – Ltd. 300)
Metallic Silver w/ Purple and Blue Smoke (EU – Ltd. 250)
Silver Black Melt (EU – Ltd. 250)
