Central American death-doom practitioners MORBID STENCH will release their third full-length album, Doom Metástasis, on October 2nd, 2026 through Nuclear Winter Records and Putrid Cult. The album will be available on LP, CD and cassette formats.

Deeply rooted in death-doom metal, the record broadens the group’s sonic palette through a more developed approach to songwriting, without losing the weight and darkness that have always defined their sound. Conceived as a conceptual work, the album follows a process of transformation that moves from inner decay to complete propagation, blending biological imagery with reflections on identity, inevitability and the cyclical nature of existence. This narrative framework gives the album a strong sense of continuity, shaping a journey rather than a simple collection of individual tracks.

Musically, MORBID STENCH combine crushing slow-paced sections, oppressive atmospheres and carefully crafted arrangements, balancing immediacy and depth. With Doom Metástasis, the band expands its vision while remaining faithful to the raw spirit of Central American death-doom metal.

Formed in 2014 by veteran musicians The Master Butcher (Costa Rica), Morbid and Purulent (El Salvador), MORBID STENCH was created to explore the darkest and most putrid side of doom metal, enriched by a strong death metal influence. With all members active in the extreme metal scene since the early ’90s, the band combines crushing heaviness, oppressive atmospheres and rotten melodies, drawing inspiration from the forgotten swamps of Central America.

Their debut EP The Stench of Doom was released in 2016 on cassette through Morbid Skull Recs (El Salvador) and Till You Fukkin Bleed (Poland), quickly selling out and followed by a short tour in El Salvador and Guatemala with CONCEIVED BY HATE. In 2017, the band released the split 7” EP The Bifid Tongue of Doom & Death with Costa Rican death metal act NECROGOD.

The debut full-length Doom & Putrefaction arrived in 2019 through Putrid Cult, Morbid Skull Recs and other international labels, receiving strong feedback from the underground scene. This was followed by the split 7” EP Ghospels of Necromancy with Dutch death metal band ANARCHOS in 2020, and the second album The Rotting Ways of Doom in 2022, further establishing the band’s reputation among doom/death enthusiasts.

Despite the members now living in three different countries, the creative chemistry within MORBID STENCH remains intact. The songwriting process begins with Morbid composing and recording guitar and bass parts at his “Víspera del Demonio” studio in San Salvador, creating raw demo versions that are shared with the band for feedback and development. Purulent then works on the drum arrangements, while The Master Butcher completes the songs with his lyrics and vocal performances.

In 2026, MORBID STENCH will release their third full-length album, Doom Metástasis, a conceptual work that continues the band’s exploration of decay, darkness and the oppressive atmosphere of their signature doom/death metal.

Finnish atmospheric art rock band Cosmic Revival has released a new single titled “No Room For Mistakes” via Inverse Records. The track is currently available across all major digital streaming platforms and serves as the group’s second single, following their earlier debut release, “Hairy Mary.”

Where their debut leaned heavily into layered storytelling and literary influences, the new single broadens the sonic palette of the four piece group. “No Room For Mistakes” channels those same sensibilities into a more immediate, rhythmically focused framework, resulting in a composition driven by expressive dynamics and tight musicianship without abandoning their signature atmospheric density.

Operating out of Finland, the quartet features Hannele Juhala on vocals, Vesa Toivola on bass, Jani Lundell on guitar, and Mikko Lehtinen on drums. The band describes their music as existing in an imaginative space where characters function as both symbols and narratives, drawing heavily from emotional archetypes to create a sustained mood meant to reward repeated listening.

Folk progressive artist Dikajee has released a brand new single and accompanying music video titled “Gunpowder.” The track serves as the first preview from her highly anticipated upcoming album, The Frame, which is officially scheduled to arrive later this autumn on November 6. The new release features prominent guest appearances from musicians Varijashree Venugopal of Snarky Puppy and Jonathan Noyce of Jethro Tull.

Mastermind and vocalist Olga Karpova conceptually developed the new video to tell a story about overcoming the physical limits of the human body and mind. Visually exploring themes of rebirth and humanity, the piece portrays a cinematic narrative where the blind will see and the ghost will finally have a face again. Musically, the new track continues to showcase the exceptional range and refined technique of the artist, seamlessly blending classical operatic styles with folk and heavy progressive elements.

Following her critically acclaimed 2021 record Forget Me Nots, Dikajee relocated to the United Kingdom in 2023 to rebuild her live band with a fresh lineup. Funded entirely through a successful fan campaign, her second full length album The Frame expands upon her distinctive blend of progressive rock and neoclassical music. The upcoming release features an expansive international roster of guest musicians, highlighting her fearless musical vision as she prepares for the November launch.

Italian progressive metal act GanEden has released a new official lyric video for their conceptually driven track “Eva.” The song serves as a standout piece from the group’s expansive concept album, Gan Eden.

Thematically, “Eva” delivers a poignant re-examination of humanity’s first exile by shifting the perspective directly to the woman historically blamed for the fall. The emotionally charged track challenges the traditional narrative that equates female rebellion and the pursuit of knowledge with corruption. Italian modern metal band Souls of Diotima has released a brand new single titled “Revenge.” The track arrived as a surprise release for fans and serves as the latest preview of the group’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, Arcade. The new full length record is officially scheduled to drop on October 2 via Diotima Records.

Musically, the new track pushes the boundaries of the band’s evolving sound by revealing the fiercest metalcore elements of the upcoming album. Driven by razor sharp riffs, powerful screams, and the group’s signature melodic touch, “Revenge” operates as a raw cry of pain and retaliation. This intense sonic direction directly follows their previous single “Run Away,” which initially introduced listeners to the nu metal influences present on Arcade.
