What if your favorite fantasy RPG had a soundtrack forged from blazing metal and cinematic symphonies? When ancient magic awakens, seeing legends and ghosts emerge from the mist at the borders of reality, AVALAND answers the call. Forged at the crossroads of power metal and opera grandeur, the band from France doesn’t just write songs […]More than two decades after they last toured under the name, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman are heading back out as The Guess Who, announcing a full U.S. headline run billed as the Takin’ It Back tour. It marks the first time in 23 years the pair will perform as The Guess Who, closing a long chapter and reopening another for fans who grew up on their records.
The U.S. leg launches June 25 at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From there, the tour rolls through major markets including Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Support on the run will come from Don Felder, formerly of The Eagles.
Speaking about the reunion, Burton Cummings said: “Randy and I are incredibly grateful that our music has endured all these years. Knowing that people still want to hear these songs live means everything to us, and when we go out on stage, our goal is to truly honor the music.”
Randy Bachman added: “I’m really excited about reuniting with Burton and touring again as The Guess Who. We created an amazing body of work together, along with memories that have lasted for decades, and those songs are still as strong as ever. I can’t wait to sing them with everyone very soon.”
Tickets will first be available through a Citi presale beginning Wednesday, March 4 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by an artist presale the same day at 12 p.m. local. Additional presales are scheduled throughout the week, leading up to the general onsale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. local via here. Citi cardmembers can access presale tickets from March 4 at 10 a.m. local through March 5 at 10 p.m. local time as part of the Citi Entertainment program.
Before the U.S. dates, the Takin’ It Back tour begins in Canada, with stops in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and more. Those shows are already on sale.
Formed in 1965, The Guess Who built a catalog that crossed borders and radio formats. Often labeled “the Canadian Beatles,” the band released eleven studio albums that charted in both Canada and the United States, including “American Woman”, which hit No. 1 in Canada and No. 9 in the U.S. Along the way, they landed fourteen singles in the U.S. Top 40 and more than thirty in Canada, with staples like “American Woman,” “These Eyes,” “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature,” and “No Time” becoming fixtures of classic rock radio.
For hard rock fans, this tour is about more than nostalgia. It’s about hearing songs that helped define an era played by the writers who made them. After years of legal wrangling over the band’s name, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman are stepping back onto the stage together as The Guess Who, bringing that catalog with them.

Matthew Heller‘s new track Let’s Go is a romantic but restless indie rock track balancing urgency and intimacy — distorted guitars, tight rhythm, and a vocal that feels both searching and resolved. Sonically it sits between Pixies tension, Strokes immediacy, and the emotional pull of Radiohead’s melodic side. The song explores the moment when hesitation […]Two years ago, free jazz veteran Alan Braufman, a New York City native now based in Salt Lake City, assembled an impressive band and kicked out an impressive album, Infinite Love Infinite Tears. He’s got another one in the queue. Anthem For Peace is set for release in May, preceded today by lead single “Angels.”…

Months after allegations of sexual assault and misconduct surfaced online against Vulvodynia vocalist Zion Bittenbender, the South African deathcore outfit announced today that they’ve formally let him go.
You may recall that shit went south for the band and Bittenbender shortly after he joined last autumn. Following his hiring as Vulvodynia’s frontman, allegations began swirling online that he had a particularly worrying tendency of being a fucking creep to women. In some of the allegations, women shared instances where he allegedly assaulted his partners while they slept. He was also accused of dating a 16-year-old when he was 19 and according to one woman, he allegedly attempted to force himself upon her after she declined his sexual advances.
Naturally, Bittenbender vehemently denied those allegations, but decided to step down from the band and their then ongoing tour to deal with the allegations back in November. The band continued on with guitarist Lwandile Prusent handling vocals in the meantime. Things settled down for Vulvodynia and not much else really made headlines regarding Bittenbender.
That was, until recently. Just last month Vulvodynia announced they were stepping down from Defeated Sanity’s tour, leading many to speculate that some more upheaval will be taking place in the band.
Then came the news today. In a statement issued by the band, they announced that Bittenbender was no longer a member of Vulvodynia. The statement reads as follows:
“We would like to apologize for the delay in addressing this situation. We took time to step back and carefully consider the appropriate course of action. After serious internal discussion, we have decided to part ways with Zion. We will also no longer be participating in the upcoming US tour with Defeated Sanity.
“We take allegations of sexual misconduct extremely seriously. Our priority is maintaining an environment that reflects our values and respects our fans, peers, and the wider community. After careful consideration of the circumstances, we believe this decision is in the best interest of the band moving forward.
“We also acknowledge that aspects of how this was initially handled were not managed in the way they should have been, and we sincerely apologize. We will now begin the process of finding a new vocalist. Details regarding auditions will be shared soon. In the meantime, Lwandile will be handling vocal duties for our remaining shows this year.
“We appreciate the patience of our fans and remain committed to moving forward with focus and integrity.”
As of this moment, Bittenbender has not issued his own statement over what happened. If he does, we’ll update this story.
