  • My Chemical Romance, TOOL, Limp Bizkit and Pierce The Veil to Headline Aftershock 2026

    My Chemical Romance (9)

It’s that time of year again. After teases and hints at who would be performing at this year’s Aftershock Festival, the organizers gave up the ghost and released the entire list of bands and artists set to perform this year.

Set to take place once again from October 1 to October 4 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California, the festival will be bigger than ever, with more than 140 acts slated to play across five stages.

For owner Danny Wimmer, of Danny Wimmer Productions, this year’s festival marks a noticeable increase in size and scale both in terms of theatrics and guest-facing amenties.

“This year’s Aftershock marks a bold new chapter for the festival. We’ve brought together metal, punk, emo, and nu-metal to create a lineup that’s raw, youthful, and unapologetic. With TOOL anchoring the weekend and Pierce The Veil making their headlining debut, we’re breaking boundaries and redefining what Aftershock can be. And after years of fan requests, we’re finally introducing camping — giving fans the chance to fully immerse themselves in the weekend. This is a new era for Aftershock, and Sacramento is about to feel it.”

With today’s announcement being the festival’s full lineup, organizers revealed that the top acts for each day were as follows:

    • Thursday: My Chemical Romance, The Offspring, Sublime
    • Friday: Limp Bizkit, $UICIDEBOY$, Wu-Tang Clan
    • Saturday: Pierce The Veil, A Day To Remember, BABYMETAL
    • Sunday: TOOL, Queens of the Stone Age, Danny Elfman

Along with the aforementioned top acts, some of the bands slated to perform will include some special sets, including:

    • My Chemical Romance celebrating 20 years of The Black Parade
    • The Story So Far, DRAIN, and Oleander playing their hometown shows
    • Circa Survive’s first west coast show since 2021
    • Thursday celebrating anniversaries for three albums: 25 years of Full Collapse, 20 years of A City By the Light Divided, and 15 years of No Devolución

All of that is to say that the folks in Sacramento, California are excited for this year’s event, including Visit Sacramento President and CEO Mike Testa.

“Aftershock continues to be a seminal moment for Sacramento, not just for the fans, but for the people who live and work here every day. The festival brings thousands of people to our city for four incredible days, generating more than $39 million in economic impact. Those dollars translate into critical support for our business community and civic partners. Maybe the best part is that Aftershock fans are often discovering Sacramento while they’re here and are making their experience synonymous with the city. We’re grateful for our partnership with DWP and can’t wait to welcome everyone back later this fall.”

Four day and single-day general admission passes, as well as VIP and Capital Club SVIP packages, are currently available. Details on what’s included in the VIP and SVIP packages are available on the festival’s website.

As for the full lineup of bands performing at this year’s Aftershock, here it is:
