INTERVIEW: Ben from SLOMOSA talks to Mark about the Australian Tour

There’s always something special about catching a band right as they touch down on Australian soil for the very first time — that mix of anticipation, curiosity, and the sense that you’re about to witness the start of something bigger. For Slomosa, that moment has finally arrived.
After building serious momentum across Europe and beyond, the Norwegian quartet are bringing their self-styled “Tundra Rock” to our shores, armed with a sound that feels as vast and unforgiving as the landscapes that inspired it. With backing from heavyweights like Helmet, Mastodon and Alkaline Trio, plus a growing reputation for explosive live shows, Slomosa have quickly become one of the most talked-about names in modern riff-driven rock.
Their latest album Tundra Rock only sharpens that edge — a record packed with towering grooves, grunge-laced hooks and a raw, infectious energy that’s already earning serious praise. Ahead of their debut Australian run, I caught up with Ben from the band to talk about finally making the trip down under, what “Tundra Rock” really means, and what Aussie audiences can expect when Slomosa hit the stage for the first time.
