Joe Bonamassa has announced the upcoming release of ‘The Spirit Of Rory Live From Cork‘, a powerful live album and film capturing his deeply personal tribute to Irish blues guitar legend Rory Gallagher, recorded during a series of sold-out performances in Gallagher’s hometown of Cork, Ireland last summer. The album will be released on Friday […]
If Jay Z hadn’t already written the line “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man,” the rappers of BTS probably would have. The band’s four-year hiatus — an inevitability, as South Korea requires all men between ages 18 to 35 to temporarily serve in the military — has brought with it nearly unprecedented stakes. Their fervent fanbase is so central to the BTS narrative (and to BTS-related web traffic) that every news story about the band seems written directly, panderingly, and very carefully for fans and fans alone, as if the ARMYs exert a kind of psychic editorial control. BTS is so load-bearing for the K-pop industry that their personal fortunes have caused actual economic fluctuations. After the band’s free(!) comeback concert drew a smaller-than-expected crowd, shares in their label Hybe fell 15.5%, a sell-off that Korean analysts called “baffling and confusing.”
I want to know who decided “V” was the new “U”, but I guess that’s just how things go these days. Such is the case anyway for Hellripper’s post-album release and the single that coincided with it, “Blakk Satanik Fvkkstorm”.
This new single is described by Hellripper’s mastermind/dude that plays everything on the recording James McBain as a tale of witchcraft and possession through the lens of some schlocky horrof flixrd.
“‘Blakk Satanik Fvkkstorm’ is “a tale of witchcraft and possession set in a bleak moorland village inspired by Victorian Gothic Literature – particularly the ghost story of ‘Thrawn Janet’ by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. Lyrically, to match the vibe and energy of the track, I wanted my interpretation of the tale to feel like an 80’s horror film. This is perhaps the most “full-on” track on the album, and that’s reflected in its shorter length. It’s motor-charged, black ‘n’ roll in the vein of Venom, with a dose of classic heavy metal for good measure!”.

Austin Lunn’s one-man anarchist, atmospheric black metal project Panopticon has been a prolific force for a long time, but he’s really in the zone right now. Last year, Panopticon released two albums, the folk-centric Laruentian Blue and the metal-focused Songs Of Hiraeth, as well as The Poppies Bloom For No King, a benefit EP raising…
Award-winning British blues and roots artist Sunjay has just dropped his latest single, “That’s Love,” giving us another taste of what’s to come from his tenth studio album. While you might expect a gentle, acoustic take on the Stephen Bruton-penned track, Sunjay has gone the other way, leaning into a full-bodied sound packed with groove … Continue reading Sunjay gets honest with new single “That’s Love”, tour starts soon
Social media is not a reliable place. In case you’re unsure about this massive claim, I urge you to watch a small segment with rapper Jim Jones on Shaquille O’Neal’s The Big Podcast earlier this week. Shaq asks Jones about his relationship with East Coast rap legend Tupac, inquiring about a rumor that Tupac started fights in his videos.
Shane Embury is about to show a side of himself that sits far from the usual Napalm Death attack. His first solo album, Bridge To Resolution, is set for 06/05 […]
The Silent Architect is the upcoming 12th studio album from Australian progressive metal band Teramaze, scheduled for release on May 8, 2026, through Wells Music. It continues what has been a prolific period for the band, with 8 releases since 2019, including two in 2024.
Now, the band is pleased to share the second single taken from the forthcoming album. “Mr. Crazy” is one of Teramaze’s most relentless and fast-paced tracks to date – a hard-hitting single that channels the raw attitude of early 90s glam and grunge, with clear nods to bands like Skid Row.
Driven by aggressively catchy riffs and a no-holds-barred vocal delivery, the song captures the chaotic, almost unhinged perspective that lives up to its name.
Songwriter/guitarist Dean Well states, “Lyrically, ‘Mr. Crazy” ties directly into the themes of the upcoming album ‘The Silent Architect’. While not a traditional concept record, the album is deeply connected through an underlying theme rooted in the story of Adam and Eve, the Garden of Eden, and humanity’s fall through deception. “Mr. Crazy” explores the psychological and spiritual unraveling that stems from a single act of deceit that can reshape our reality forever.”
Tracklisting:
1.The Silent Architect 10:13
2.Doors of Yesterday 4:24
3.The Invisible Countdown 8:37
4.Mr Crazy 3:37
5.Arrow 4:50
