WHITECHAPEL will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a special North American headlining tour this Fall where they’ll perform songs from their entire discography! Presented by Live Nation, the trek will commence on November 11th in Atlanta, Georgia and run through December 18th in Pelham, Tennessee. Support will be provided by Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain, and Netherwalker.

Hymns In Dissonance, WHITECHAPEL‘s most recent studio recording released last Spring via Metal Blade Records, finds the band reinventing themselves, going darker, deeper, and heavier than ever before. Revolver lauded “a blistering attack of ground-fissuring blasts, terror-thrashed guitar melodies and guts-hucking mosh sections.” Metal Injection concurred noting, “it’s heavy as shit, it’s unrelenting, and it will destroy you.” MetalSucks championed, “one of WHITECHAPEL’s heaviest offerings since the glory days of The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile,” adding, “It captures that same raw energy and mouth-frothing rage in a way that… hasn’t been seen for quite some time, but with a new and improved modern twist borne of the nearly twenty years of experience they have accumulated since then,” while Blabbermouth hailed the band’s “…white-knuckle, weaponized deathcore with brains, brawn, and a point to prove. Hold on to your helmets.”

The record earned the #2 position on Billboard’s Current Hard Rock Albums chart, #3 on Independent Label Current Albums chart, #4 on the Current Rock Albums chart and #7 on the Digital Albums chart upon its first week of release.

Hey look, it’s Chat Pile! Our fucking guys! The Oklahoma City noise-rock people’s champs have been working extremely hard since they came to national prominence mid-pandemic, averaging about an album a year. Last year, Chat Pile teamed up with Hayden Pedigo for In The Earth Again, a sonic departure that showed new sides of the band. Earlier this year, they dropped their anti-ICE song “Masks,” as well as a cover of Nirvana’s “Sifting,” on a Sub Pop single. Now, they’re getting ready to drop a new album of their own.

All of a sudden, the Cure once again have a ton going on. In 2024, the legendary band returned with Songs Of A Lost World, their first album in 16 years, and it fucking ruled. Even as that rollout was happening, Robert Smith was talking about plans for more Cure albums. Last weekend, the Cure headlined the Primavera Sound Festival, returning to the stage after a year-plus break with an amazing setlist full of classics and live rarities, and then they played more live rarities at Porto’s North Festival. Also, of course, there’s the Olivia Rodrigo connection. The towering pop star already had Cure references on her two most recent singles. At a surprise Primavera set, she and Robert Smith debuted their new duet “what’s wrong with me” and then had more nice things to say about each other. Now, Smith would like to describe the next two Cure albums.

For decades Canada’s premier Scotch punk pioneers The Real McKenzies have brought their brand of Celtic inspired rowdy rock ’n’ roll to the world. The whiskey soaked wit and wisdom of singer Paul McKenzie has been served with tongue planted firmly in cheek since 1992. Now, with the release of their 13th studio album, and first since the sale of their longtime home Fat Wreck Chords, the McKenzies are back and as irreverent as ever.

Paul McKenzie Sings On Yer Bike is a blistering collection of 13 brand new tracks that will keep your toe tapping and head banging for the duration of its 31 minute runtime. The production on this thing is impeccable. Each instrument punches through with clarity and perfect balance. The thumping bass, pummeling drums and razor-sharp guitars blaze through with ease and precision as Paul tells tales of triumph and tragedy in his unmistakable grizzled croon. 

Along with the expansive lyrical palate, there is plenty of variation in the instrumentation as well. Aside from the standard rock configuration, you’ll find bagpipes, saxophones, steel guitars and all sorts of ear candy to tickle your aural pleasure centers. For a band more than three decades into their career, The Real McKenzies have proven once again that they are just as vital, energetic and entertaining as ever.
