Mumford & Sons played SNL for the fourth time last night. They did “Rubber Band Man” and “Here,” two songs from their new album Prizefighter; Hozier joined them to sing his parts on the former song, while Sierra Ferrell sang on the latter in lieu of Chris Stapleton, who sings on the studio version. For both songs, Mumford & Sons had backup from Aaron Dessner, who co-produced Prizefighter.
There’s no stopping JoanOvArc. Riding high on the success of their recent EP, ‘Escape The Fire’, which delivered a run of singles championed by Kerrang! Radio and Planet Rock, alongside an extensive touring schedule, the unrelenting hard rockers continue their charge into 2026. Following last year’s singles, ‘You Don’t Know’ and ‘Hey Sister’, the band return with their hugely engulfing new single, ‘Mechanical Overlords’, out now.
2026 promises to be a defining year for JoanOvArc as the band turns the page to their most exciting chapter yet. This includes the launch of the No More Masters tour, and the official introduction of Immy Cliff as the band’s new bass player. A multi-instrumentalist with a unique blend of classical training and hard rock power, Cliff brings renewed intensity, precision, and dynamic force to JoanOvArc’s live performances and future releases. Alongside the tour, more new music and festival appearances are planned, with the band’s live show remaining resolutely all killer, no filler.
Since forming in 2015, JoanOvArc have built a formidable legacy. From their debut album Ride of Your Life, recorded at Rockfield Studios with legendary producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters), to extensive global touring across Europe, Japan, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and the USA, including a headline performance at Hollywood’s iconic Viper Room, the band have consistently pushed boundaries and broken into new territories. With a discography that includes three acclaimed albums: Ride of Your Life (2016), JoanOvArc (2019), and Invisible Enemy (2022), alongside 2024’s Escape The Fire EP, their back catalogue is as impressive as it is expansive.
Now poised to enter a valiant new era, JoanOvArc’s evolution is fronted by the alluring power of Mechanical Overlords. The band explain: “The single was inspired by the accelerating dominance of technology and humanity’s role in creating forces it can no longer control. The song reflects on technological hubris, digital ghosts, and the erosion of human agency.” With a packed live schedule throughout 2026, and further releases on the way, JoanOvArc are set to reaffirm their status as one of the UK’s must-see hard rock bands.

March 08 – International Women’s Day, Club 85, Hitchin

As the curtain falls on an extraordinary career spanning more than four decades, SEPULTURA are preparing to close their final chapter at the end of this year. With over 40 years of band history, 14 gold records, and performances across more than 80 countries, SEPULTURA stand as Brazil’s uncompromising emissary to the global stage and one of today’s most influential metal bands.
Currently bringing their pioneering sound to audiences worldwide on the ‘Celebrating Life Through Death‘ farewell tour, the question has arisen: how should SEPULTURA mark the end of such a monumental journey? The answer came naturally: By capturing a final creative moment and preserving it for posterity.
The result is The Cloud of Unknowing EP, set to be released on April 24th via Nuclear Blast Records.
The Cloud of Unknowing EP is one of SEPULTURA’s most diverse and emotionally resonant releases. Across four tracks, the EP serves as a bittersweet farewell, showcasing the full spectrum of the band’s creativity, reflecting both the ferocity and depth that have defined SEPULTURA’s legacy.
SEPULTURA have today released EP track ‘The Place‘, which vocalist Derrick Green sheds some light on: “This song deals with immigrants who have come to a place seeking refuge and start a new life. Once assimilated into a false sense of security and relentless propaganda they began to act out against what they hate about themselves. The transition begins to escape from the self hatred and the lashing out against people who believed in the same ideas. I feel the lyrics truly follow the transitions of the song. Starting with disappointment and arriving at anger.”
The Cloud of Unknowing EP will be available in the following formats:
Oxblood
Transparent Petrol (NB exclusive)
Crystal clear (band exclusive)
Transparent red (band exclusive)
All LP variants come with a CD of the EP in a card wallet.

The Temper Trap return with new single ‘Into The Wild’, the latest in a run of new music that has firmly re-established the band as one of Australia’s most enduring and globally recognised acts: euphoric anthem ‘Giving Up Air’ and its remix from iconic DJ/producer Solomun, bold indie-rock track ‘Lucky Dimes’, and a fresh take on ‘Sweet Disposition’ from German dance powerhouse BUNT.
‘Into The Wild’ encapsulates the duality of body and mind, and the existential yearning to transcend physical limits. Produced by Styalz Fuego (Troye Sivan, Charli XCX, Khalid) with Catherine Marks (Wolf Alice, boygenius, Manchester Orchestra) on mixing, it’s freeing, pulsing, soaring – Dougy’s hypnotic falsetto floating over the top of undulating drums that draw the listener in and never let go.
Alongside the release is a surreal music video directed by emerging Melbourne creatives Joey Clough and Edvard Hakansson. A dreamlike car ride on wide open roads, cut with chaos and strangeness; the mind proves wilder and more uncontrollable than the world outside.
The release lands off the back of a strong return to the global stage. Over the past year, the band have played sold-out headline shows in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, London and Australia, alongside key festival slots at Beyond The Valley and Party In The Paddock. In late January, they made a standout return to international television, performing ‘Giving Up Air’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, marking a significant moment in this new chapter.
Released in 2025, ‘Giving Up Air’ and ‘Lucky Dimes’ have been clocking millions of streams whilst receiving global support, including landing in the top 40 US alternative radio charts, adds at triple j, Double j and commercial radio in Australia, Radio X and 6 Music support in the UK, and key stations throughout Europe.
If the past few months are anything to go by, this is still only the beginning of a much bigger return for The Temper Trap after a decade-long wait.
Few Australian bands of the past two decades have achieved the longevity of The Temper Trap. Across three studio albums, including two ARIA #1 debuts, the band have amassed well over two billion streams worldwide. Their seminal 2009 debut Conditions introduced ‘Sweet Disposition’, a song that not only topped charts internationally and achieved multi-platinum certification across Australia, New Zealand, the US and UK, but has become part of Australian music culture – placing #11 in triple j’s Hottest 100 Australian Songs of All Time. One of the most sought-after acts in the world, the band have hit some of the biggest festival stages globally, including Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Primavera, Big Day Out and Laneway Festival.
Recent times have seen a resurgence of love for the band including a ‘Love Lost’ collab on Mac Miller’s posthumously re-released Faces mixtape and a slew of remixes for ‘Sweet Disposition’ (from the likes of John Summit, Vintage Culture, VXSION, Lost Frequencies and BUNT.). These new iterations of the band’s original hits have solidified their popularity with an entirely new generation of fans, re-introducing them to dancefloors and charts worldwide.

Swarming with sonic haymakers, looming melodies, sharp narratives and astonishing dexterity, today Melbourne’s The Gloom In The Corner ascend into a brand new era with the release of their hotly-anticipated new studio album Royal Discordance, out now via SharpTone Records.
A record that could readily soundtrack an Anime epic, a Netflix smash series, or a sprawling open-world game, Royal Discordance is certainly not your average metalcore album.
Insatiably showcasing The Gloom In The Corner‘s relentless pursuit for sonic evolution, recorded in 2024 with producer Jonathan Delese in Nashville, Tennessee, Royal Discordance ushers in some of Gloom‘s most universal songs to date, all while remaining true to their chaotic core in the process. Whether channeling My Chemical Romance and positivity or penning pit-splitting breakdowns, The Gloom In The Corner balance their tumultuous creative DNA with an album primed for multiple revisits, while also devoutly treading new ground.
“Our next chapter fully encompasses what Gloom is and does, tailored and fitted to all means,” shares the band. “A little bit of royalty, a whole heap of chaos, showcasing not just the characters and their identities at their highest and lowest, but also ourselves.”
Accompanying the album’s release today is also a brand new visualizer for That’s Life (Carry Me Home).
Over the years, The Gloom In The Corner have engineered a space for total sensory immersion via a series of releases, spanning their 2016 debut album Fear Me, through to their Homecoming EP (2017), Flesh & Bones (2019), Ultima Pluvia EP (2020) and their 2022 album Trinity, with the latter commanding a 5/5 star album review from New Noise Magazine, praising it as “a real stunner and a benchmark for metalcore going forward”. Translating their rich sonic universe into a live setting, The Gloom In The Corner have dazzled stages around the globe, spanning Australia, Europe and North America, along with aligning a horde of elite collaborators including Fit For A King‘s Ryan Kirby, Fit For An Autopsy‘s Joe Badolato, Cane Hill‘s Elijah Wittand many more.
Crafting a realm where elite storytelling and sharp delivery reins supreme, Royal Discordance is an album that will lure you back for more time and time again. And via Royal Discordance, The Gloom In The Corner remain a band beyond compare; a chaotic yet compelling chameleon in the modern heavy scene, spanning the entire aural spectrum of bliss, bloodletting and back again.
Closing out 2025 in Europe supporting Swedish metalcore greats Aviana, The Gloom In The Corner will support American heavies King 810 nationally in Australia this March, and will also perform this October as part of the entirely sold out inaugural Hellbound Cruise alongside Parkway Drive, Polaris and more.
Beartooth return with a new single, Free, a seismic-sized song that is powerful, loud, and crushing in equal measure. The track was co-written and co-produced by Jordan Fish and marks both the band’s first new music since 2023 and the start of a bold new era after signing to Fearless Records. The song arrives as they are on the road for a North American arena tour as the direct support for Bad Omens.
Where past records chronicled survival, Free marks a turning point, capturing a moment of clarity inside chaos. Beartooth’s frontman Caleb Shomo states: “Free is the start of the next chapter of my music and my life. The emotional roller coaster that is living can be very complicated at times. In one day you can equally experience pure fear and pure joy. This song shows a glimpse of what is to come from the next Beartooth album, which is the most honest depiction of my soul I will most likely ever make.”
Shomo further notes: “Fearless has empowered me as an artist like nothing I’ve ever experienced. They all truly love what they do, and it shows in the work. They go about their business with humility and a hunger for joy. At the end of the day, they care about the music and supporting the people involved. Their ability to spread that support to artists and listeners alike is truly beautiful and I couldn’t be more proud to sign a deal with Fearless.”
Fearless Records’ President Andy Serrao shares, “Fearless Records is proud to have Beartooth on the roster. We’ve been watching their growth as fans for many years, and now, we are excited to be partners. “Free” is the perfect start to this next chapter.”
More than a decade into their career and with over 1.3 billion streams worldwide, Beartooth have spent years channeling raw, unfiltered emotion into music that resonates with millions. With one RIAA-certified platinum single and one gold single under their belt, 2023’s The Surface cemented the band’s place at the top of the rock world, delivering back-to-back #1 singles at Active Rock radio and a #1 Billboard Hard Rock album.
Now, with new music and a new label home, the band is taking the momentum into arenas as direct support for Bad Omens on their North American tour. The run kicked off on February 22nd in Salt Lake City and will hit Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on March 10 and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on March 26 before concluding the following night at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, CA.
