Sleeping With Sirens‘ Kellin Quinn and Nick Martin treated commuters to a surprise set on a subway platform in NYC yesterday afternoon (May 13).
With the band’s eighth album ‘An Ending In Itself’ set to arrive on June 12, Kellin and Nick popped up in the unlikely spot for an impromptu performance.
Playing through an acoustic version of their latest title track, lucky fans and passers-by were also treated to a cover of The Goo Goo Dolls‘ ‘Iris’.
Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain has announced the release of his autobiography, Hello Boys And Girls!, which will be published in hardback, ebook and audio formats on 22 October 2026 through Harper Nonfiction.
The autobiography promises a deeply personal and entertaining look at McBrain’s remarkable career, charting his rise from the competitive London music scene to becoming one of Heavy Metal’s most recognisable drummers.
Nicko McBrain joined Iron Maiden in 1982 after performing with acts including Streetwalkers, Pat Travers and Trust. Known for his powerful drumming style, charismatic stage presence and enduring influence on generations of drummers, McBrain became a defining force behind Iron Maiden’s sound during their most successful years.
Hello Boys And Girls! takes readers behind the scenes of life with Iron Maiden, featuring backstage stories, career highs and lows, studio memories and reflections on decades spent performing for fans worldwide.
McBrain said: “I’m very excited and honoured to be working with the wonderful HarperNonFiction team on my very own book full of lots of fun stories, anecdotes and of course my incredible experiences with some of the greatest musicians and performers from the 70s, 80s and beyond.”
The book is described as a front-row seat into one of Heavy Metal’s greatest careers, blending humour, honesty and personal insight from one of the genre’s most beloved musicians.
“I am blessed to be able to finally share my path to where I am today,” he said, “in my own words, with the world.”
Nicko McBrain currently lives in Florida with his wife Rebecca, their cat Lola and two Yorkshire Terriers, Tigerlily and Tinkerbell.
Twenty One Pilots are teasing something going down in their hometown of Columbus, Ohio, and it’s going to be big.
First up, people were spotting posters cropping up sporting the band’s logo with the statement ‘FRØM HERE’. They were placed outside of venues across the city, including the Nationwide Arena, Newport Music Hall, KEMBA Live!, Skully’s Music Diner, and The Schottenstein Center.

So, what does this all mean? Well, it looks as though the band are celebrating their journey through the places they have played over the years in the city they love so much. And it’s all be leading to what will be their biggest headline show to date, because the Ohio Stadium holds no less than 102,000 people.

Selfish Things have shared all the details of their upcoming album ‘Receptivity’, as well as an emotional new single.
The follow-up to the duo’s 2019 debut album ‘Logos’ will arrive on October 09 via FLG, and it’s a very important one.
Reflecting on frontman Alex Biro’s journey to sobriety, it takes a powerful look at the realities of addiction and recovery. Distinctly human and vitally raw, it marks the return of a very special band.
Now four years clean and working as a sober coach and counsellor within the music industry, it’s also the start of a bright new chapter for Alex.
Speaking openly on ‘Receptivity’, he has shared:
“This wasn’t supposed to be an album. It’s still not really an album to me, or to any of us. More just… closure, I guess. I was at the beginning of my full-blown addiction on the last tour we ever did before COVID stopped the world in 2020. I hated myself and I hated the world more than I really knew at the time. I’m four years sober on the 18th of May, working as a sober coach and clinician with folks who struggle with the same things I do, even in my recovery. The profits will be donated to the hospital where I went to rehab, and (admittedly), we don’t really know where to go (or if we’ll go anywhere with it) afterward.
“The only thing that’s brought me peace in the aftermath of the cataclysm of my addiction is being of service to others. I think deep down, releasing this for whoever needs to hear it is an extension of that. Everything beautiful blooms from the mud. Everything beautiful grows from the dirt. This is for those who can accept that the things they’ve been through can either be the poison cup they sip from or the counterweight that lifts themselves and others up. That being imperfect is being human. And that suffering is singular, and universal.”

Speaking on that reflective new track, Alex has said:
“Admittedly – this was a song I hated that quickly became everyone’s favourite. I wrote the lyrics in an hour at the lowest point of my sobriety in 2022. I can’t say anything about it beyond it was stream of consciousness, clearly blistering, and is something I can’t listen to often without feeling shit I’ve tried to bury. I hope it brings you peace.”
The album is also set to feature ‘Sunlight’, which arrived earlier this year.
