Turning Jane’s Miss Hollywood is a sharp, confident pop rock track built around the satisfaction of watching the balance of power change. The song takes aim at the image obsessed character at its center, turning past arrogance and social status into fuel for a spirited comeback. There is a playful edge to the writing, but beneath it sits a clear sense of self assurance, with Turning Jane transforming old resentment into something energetic and empowering. The arrangement keeps that attitude moving, giving the track an accessible melodic drive while leaving plenty of room for its personality to come through. Rather than dwelling on the past, Miss Hollywood focuses on the moment when someone realises they have moved beyond the person who once made them feel small. It is a lively revenge song with a strong sense of character, confidence and full circle satisfaction.

Blond in Car’s Come True captures that suspended feeling between hope and uncertainty, turning the anticipation of something wonderful into a warm and dreamy indie pop song. The arrangement has a gentle, intimate quality, with soft instrumentation and a melodic ease that lets the optimism in the songwriting come through without becoming overly sweet. There is also a subtle sense of vulnerability beneath the brightness, because the song is built around believing in a possibility before knowing whether it will actually happen. dilute_calico98’s gravelord lands as a full blown shoegaze anthem, surrounding its vocals with dense layers of distorted guitars and a huge, immersive wall of sound. The track has that familiar balance between heaviness and dreamlike atmosphere, with the guitars stretching into a hazy blur while the rhythm section keeps everything moving underneath. Rather than staying purely subdued, gravelord pushes toward a larger emotional scale, giving the song an anthemic quality that makes its climactic moments hit harder. There is a sense of darkness running through the track, but the expansive production gives it a strangely uplifting dimension, turning the weight of the sound into something cathartic. dilute_calico98 keeps the focus firmly on texture and atmosphere, allowing the layers to accumulate until the song feels almost physical. A powerful shoegaze cut with plenty of distortion, depth and emotional impact.
