  • ARCHON ANGEL Shares Title Track For “Beyond The Grave” Upcoming Album

Archon Angel, the melodic metal band featuring legendary former Savatage vocalist Zak Stevens and guitarist, songwriter, and producer Aldo Lonobile, returns with a new studio album, Beyond The Grave, out December 11, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.

The band also shares the album’s title track, “Beyond The Grave”, alongside an official lyric video, available below.

From the very beginning, Archon Angel has represented the creative bond between legendary vocalist Zak Stevens and songwriter, producer, and guitarist Aldo Lonobile.

Born from a shared passion for Savatage‘s timeless legacy, the project quickly evolved into something far greater: an unmistakable identity built on cinematic songwriting, powerful melodies, and world-class musicianship.

Now, with Beyond The Grave, Archon Angel takes its biggest step forward yet. This new album sees the band fully embracing its own musical vision, delivering a collection of songs that are both epic and deeply emotional.

Zak Stevens commented: “I’m very excited to announce the release of our third Archon Angel album, Beyond The Grave! I thoroughly enjoyed working on this record. I think it’s our strongest effort to date. As far as the music goes, we’ve ventured into areas and inspirations that we haven’t previously explored. That’s a goal with every Archon Angel record, but we were able to explore a lot more angles during the writing of this one. All of the guys in the band and the entire writing team did a great job. We’re all excited to get this album out there for everyone to check out.”

Rich, meticulously crafted arrangements, outstanding guitar work, and unforgettable melodies provide the perfect foundation for Zak Stevens‘ commanding and instantly recognizable voice, resulting in what is undoubtedly the band’s strongest and most accomplished work to date.

Beyond The Grave is a statement of artistic maturity and confidence, showcasing Archon Angel as one of the premier melodic metal acts of today.

Beyond The Grave is available to pre-order here.

    Archon Angel Lineup:

    Zak Stevens / Vocals
    Aldo Lonobile / Guitars, Bass
    Marco Lazzarini / Drums
Antonio Agate / Synth and Orchestral, Piano and Keys Arrangements

  • NIGHTWISH Cut Ties With FLOOR JANSEN After 14 Years

Finnish symphonic metal outfit Nightwish has ended its 14-year run with Dutch vocalist Floor Jansen.

The band announced the split on social media Thursday, Oct. 15, with a statement that read, “Nightwish and Floor Jansen part ways.

“After careful consideration, we have, in mutual agreement, decided to part ways. This decision is necessary and important to us and our future ambitions. Thus, we will now pursue those goals in our own separate ways. We wish each other nothing but the very best on our respective artistic journeys.

“For you, dear listener, and indeed for us, this marks the end of a truly great voyage.

“Nightwish will continue. We will move forward and enter the studio in 2027 to record a new album.

“As we celebrate 30 years of Nightwish, we couldn’t be more excited about our music and our future.”

Jansen posted her own statement, writing: “Endings create new beginnings, and even though it was a hard decision to make, I believe there is a bright musical journey ahead of me. I invite you to follow along on this path, as you were with me in all the great years before.

“Thank you for your support through the rollercoasters of life.

“My solo career will now get all of my attention and gives my new upcoming album Hytress (out 2027) and the tour all space to grow. Hope to meet you on the road again in a near and happy future.

    “With love and respect, Floor.”

The departure carries extra weight, but the band is carrying on regardless, and Jansen has her own release on the calendar. Her second solo album, Hytress, arrives January 15, 2027 through Revamp Music and Warner Music. It follows her 2023 solo debut, Paragon, which has pulled in nearly 150 million streams.

On the Nightwish front, the band announced in April 2023 that live shows were off the table for the foreseeable future and that its latest record, Yesterwynde, would not get a tour. That album landed in September 2024 via Nuclear Blast.

Jansen‘s path to Nightwish started in the Netherlands, where she joined After Forever, one of the earliest symphonic metal bands, at age 16. The group put out five albums between 2000 and 2007 and called it quits in 2009. She then fronted Revamp, which released two albums in 2010 and 2013, before becoming a full-time member of Nightwish.

Her first album with the band was 2015’s Endless Forms Most Beautiful, which cracked Top 10 charts around the world. 2020’s Human. :II: Nature. was another international success. She also appears on three live albums, Showtime, Storytime, Vehicle Of Spirit and Decades: Live In Buenos Aires.

In 2019, Jansen appeared on the Dutch TV series Beste Zangers, where she had a big hit with “Phantom Of The Opera,” a duet with Henk Poort. She received a Dutch Popprijs, an honor for artists who have made major contributions to Dutch music. Her first solo tour that year sold out in under 24 hours.

Jansen made her live debut with Nightwish on Oct. 1, 2012 at Showbox Sodo in Seattle, after the abrupt exit of Anette Olzon, who had sung for the band for five years. She became an official member in 2013.
