BLACK LABEL SOCIETY’s Complete Discography Finds A New Home At MNRK MUSIC GROUP
MNRK Music Group has scooped up Zakk Wylde‘s entire Black Label Society back catalog, a deal the indie label is calling one of the biggest steps yet in its push into hard rock and metal. The haul covers more than two decades of material: 11 studio albums, headlined by Stronger Than Death, Order Of The Black, 1919 Eternal and The Blessed Hellride, plus a stack of live records, compilations, EPs and Wylde‘s solo output, including his acoustic outing Unblackened.
The acquisition extends a relationship that’s already been years in the making. MNRK plans to lean into reissues, catalog curation and legacy campaigns, using its global distribution muscle to push Black Label Society‘s music further across streaming, vinyl and whatever format comes next, all while Wylde stays hands-on with how the material gets presented.
For MNRK, the deal is being framed as a statement of intent, another sign the label is serious about building out its heavy music roster alongside its growing stable of legacy catalogs and newer signings.
“Zakk has been part of the MNRK family for many years, and this deal reflects the strength of that relationship,” said Sean Stevenson, CEO and president of MNRK Music Group. “Black Label Society has built one of the most enduring and loyal fanbases in heavy music. Owning and continuing to grow this catalog is a natural next step for us, and we’re proud to deepen our partnership with Zakk for the long term.”
Scott Givens, SVP of MNRK Heavy, echoed the sentiment: “Zakk Wylde is one of the true icons of modern heavy music. The Black Label Society catalog represents decades of powerful songwriting, unforgettable riffs, and an incredibly dedicated global audience. We’re excited to bring new energy to these releases and continue expanding their reach across streaming, vinyl, and new generations of fans.”
Black Label Society has spent more than 20 years grinding out blues-soaked riffs and gut-punch ballads that built one of metal’s most fiercely loyal fanbases. Under MNRK, the catalog is set to get fresh campaign support for the classics while opening the door to new projects that blend old-school heavy metal with more contemporary sounds.
Wylde started Black Label Society in 1998, running the band alongside his other job: guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, whose band he joined nearly 40 years ago.
Black Label Society‘s Order Of The Black (2010) and Catacombs Of The Black Vatican (2014) both cracked the top five on the hard rock album charts.
MNRK Music Group ranks among the biggest independent music companies in the world, with a footprint in every major market. The label focuses on developing top creators and artists, working alongside sister companies Dualtone Music Group, Last Gang and Prosthetic Records. Across its divisions, MNRK‘s catalog runs about 70,000 tracks deep, including multiple Grammy winners and platinum sellers.

Listening Now : Kennedy Jane Hill – We KAN

Kennedy Jane Hill’s We KAN has a direct, uplifting energy, built around a clear melodic core and a vocal performance that gives the song its emotional weight. There’s a sense of movement in the arrangement, with the music gradually opening up rather than relying on a huge, immediate payoff. Hill keeps the delivery personal and expressive, allowing the lyrics to sit at the centre while the instrumentation provides a warm backdrop. What works especially well is the feeling of genuine optimism without pushing too hard into polished pop territory. We KAN feels like a song about finding momentum, confidence and a reason to keep going, delivered with enough warmth to make its message feel sincere rather than forced. A straightforward, positive listen with a strong sense of heart.

RAMMSTEIN’s “Live In Mexico City” Concert Film Lighting Up Theaters Worldwide In November
Rammstein is bringing its stadium-leveling 2022 stop in Mexico City to movie screens. Rammstein – Live In Mexico City, a new concert film capturing the band’s three-night takeover of Foro Sol, hits cinemas worldwide starting Nov. 4.
Those three dates, Oct. 1, 2 and 4, 2022, closed out a run that had already flattened seven U.S. stadiums and one in Montreal, where the trek kicked off Aug. 21. It marked the band’s only trip through North America with its full stadium production, pyrotechnics included, backed by seven 747s and roughly 210 crew members needed just to haul the whole thing overseas.
Shot in 4K, the film puts nearly 200,000 fans’ worth of Foro Sol chaos on the big screen, running through a set stacked with staples like “Armee Der Tristen,” “Deutschland,” “Du Riechst So Gut,” “Sonne” and “Du Hast,” plus a rare live outing for “Te Quiero Puta!”
Paul Dugdale, who’s previously pointed cameras at The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Elton John and Adele, directed the film. Alongside the Nov. 4 theatrical run, a live album pulled from the same shows lands on physical and digital formats Nov. 20.
Fans can sign up for screening updates here now, where full cinema listings go live Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. CEST / 4 p.m. BST / 11 a.m. EDT / 8 a.m. PDT. Trafalgar Releasing is handling the worldwide rollout, with the exception of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Alto Adige, and Luxembourg, where Filmwelt Distribution takes over. Release dates shift slightly elsewhere too: France gets the film Nov. 6 only, while Japan splits it across Nov. 5 and 18.
The tour behind the film ran alongside two Rammstein studio records: the band’s untitled 2019 album, which cracked 14 national charts including a U.S. Top 10 finish, and Zeit, out April 29, 2022, almost exactly three years after its predecessor.
Three decades in, Rammstein has moved more than 20 million albums worldwide without ever swapping a single member. The Berlin sextet’s lineup of Till Lindemann (vocals), Paul Landers (guitar), Richard Z. Kruspe (guitar), Flake (keyboards), Oliver Riedel (bass) and Christoph Schneider (drums) has stayed locked in place since forming in 1994 and dropping its debut, Herzeleid, in 1995.
The follow-up, Sehnsucht, arrived in 1997 and turned the band into a global name, powered by the Grammy-nominated “Du Hast.” Mutter came next in 2001, backing what turned out to be the band’s last U.S. tour for nearly 10 years. Reise, Reise followed in 2004, led by the Grammy-nominated “Mein Teil,” with Rosenrot landing a year later. Liebe Ist Für Alle Da, album number six, arrived in 2009 and became the first since Mutter to get North American touring support: on Dec. 11, 2010, Rammstein played its first U.S. show in a decade, a one-off at Madison Square Garden that sold out in under 20 minutes. Extensive North American runs in 2011 and 2012 followed, including the band’s U.S. network television debut, a performance of “Du Hast” and “Feuer Frei!” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The band finally broke the U.S. Top 10 on May 17, 2019, when its untitled album debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
Trafalgar Releasing bills itself as the biggest name in event cinema, reaching more than 15,000 screens across 132 countries. A branch of Trafalgar Entertainment, the company handles production, acquisition, marketing, and distribution for live and recorded content, with a client list that includes Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, BTS, Metallica, Oasis, Coldplay , and Billie Eilish, among others. Its recent haul includes distributing Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, the highest-grossing concert film ever made.
