Mouth Culture have become the third band to sign to new UK label Killabop, and it comes at a very exciting time in their journey.

The deal encompasses their debut mixtape ‘These Days’, which was released back in 2021, as well as their upcoming debut album, which they are still working on and should arrive very soon.
They join VENUS GRRRLS and Hongza as part of the Killabop family, a label set up to support and champion young British talent.
The band had this to say about the signing, stating, “We pride ourselves on writing killer bops, so it only makes sense that we’ve found our home at Killabop. Working with a label that genuinely cares about its artists and the longevity of what we’re building is incredibly refreshing, and it’s rare to find people who truly believe in something. We can’t wait to see what the future holds. Blessed to be part of it.”

These days I think of the Sub Pop roster as hip, eclectic, and a little bit soft, but Slift get me back in touch with the label’s hard-hitting origins. Not that the French trio plays grunge, but their heavy psych, with its gnarly guitar riffs and barked-out lyrics, is raw and explosive in a way…
