Rick Wakeman CBE has announced The Wizard Of Prog – Ultimate Highlights Concert Tour, featuring the English Rock Ensemble, for February and March 2027. The legendary keyboard player revealed the tour plans on his 77th birthday, promising fans a magical night spanning more than 50 years of music from across his celebrated career.

Since reforming the English Rock Ensemble in 2022, Rick Wakeman’s live shows have continued to grow in scale, progressing from sold-out nights at the London Palladium to the acclaimed Return Of The Caped Crusader UK tours.

The 2027 run will be the band’s longest UK tour to date, opening in Brighton on 17 February before travelling across the country and concluding in Leicester on 12 March. Rather than focusing on a single album, the setlist will feature highlights from Wakeman’s classic catalogue, including extracts from Journey To The Centre Of The Earth, The Myths & Legends Of King Arthur & The Knights Of The Round Table, solo material and music recorded with YES.

  • Canadian Thrashers W.M.D. To Release Against All Warnings on June 5! “Eyes of a Killer” Single/Video Out Now!

Vancouver (BC) – Canadian Thrashers W.M.D. (When Minds Develop) will release Against All Warnings, the band’s second full-length album, June 5th, on vinyl, CD and digital formats.

    youtu.be/bRSqPPfyCBs

The song is also available on BandcampApple Music, and Spotify

Thematically, Against All Warnings concerns the constant human need for more, where nothing ever feels good enough, and people ignore every warning sign until everything starts to collapse. The album is also a reflection of W.M.D.‘s experience during the last few years: refusing to quit, getting angry at what the world really is, and trying to find their place in the middle of all of it. Every song comes from a different perspective on the chaos and pressure people are living through every day.

“The songs were built in the jam room first, so what you’re hearing is the exact pace, feel, and weight of what we created, while feeding off each other’s energy in the room. We wanted it to feel alive, raw, and honest. We’re proud of this record and stoked to finally share it with you.” – W.M.D.

  • Dimmu Borgir – Grand Serpent Rising (Review)

This is the tenth album from Norwegian black metallers Dimmu Borgir. Eight long years since 2018’s Eonian, the legendary Dimmu Borgir have returned. Bringing the world 72 minutes of new material, Grand Serpent Rising is an unexpectedly atavistic record, but is all the better for it. Grand Serpent Rising offers up a slightly stripped back … Continue reading “Dimmu Borgir – Grand Serpent Rising (Review)”

  • Touché Amoré 10 Years of Stage Four Live in Hollywood

Touché Amoré ended the US leg of the 10-year anniversary tour of Stage Four at the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday, May 16. In addition to playing the album in full, they stacked the lineup with four openers to keep things moving all night.

    Incendiary

After a quick set by Bay Area indie-rockers Sour Widows, New York’s aptly-named Incendiary picked up the pace with a half hour of blazing hardcore. Touché Amoré vocalist Jeremy Bolm said during the headlining set that they had been trying to get Incendiary to tour with them for years. It was an unexpectedly cohesive pairing and worth the wait. Incendiary rarely do long run tours, but they’ll be back in Los Angeles at Sound and Fury. Vocalist Brendan Garrone asked the crowd who was going to Sound and Fury, and the response was hyped. Judging by the response and Incendiary’s performance, it’s sure to be a can’t-miss set at the festival.

    Saetia

Incendiary’s set left the crowd wanting more, but the tradeoff for short hardcore sets are the quick changeovers. NYC’s recently reunited Saetia quickly took the stage and got right back at it with an unrelenting set of screamo hardcore. Bolm said without Saetia, there wouldn’t be Touché Amoré. Bolm’s label Secret Voice released a two-disc set of Saetia’s full studio catalog Collected during their long hiatus. It’s available now at revhq.com, and the band will play NYC and Philly in June.

Glassjaw filled the direct support slot and changed things up. They leaned into their more ambient side with a set heavy on songs from Worship and Tribute. The influential post-hardcore powerhouses left the crowd wanting more of everything. The set clocked in under 40 minutes. Fans were clamoring for merch and new music, but neither were to be found. Nevertheless, Glassjaw appearances are few and far between, so the fans took what they could get.  They’re doing several Warped Tour dates this summer, Hellfest in New Jersey, Sick New World, and a few other festivals in Europe this year.

    Touché Amoré

Touché Amoré came out with guns blazing with Stage Four played through in full. It was a frenetic performance from the jump. Between the strobing lights and Bolm zigzagging across the stage, it was hard to keep up. Julien Baker came out for “Skyscraper” to close out Stage Four and returned later as the band played favorites off most of their catalog to fill up the solid hour-long set. After seeing Bolm with Drug Church at the Hot Mulligan Palladium show last year, fans wondered what would happen here. The general consensus in the crowd was the only way to make it better would have been to make it longer. Sadly, the US run is done for the 10 year anniversary of Stage Four tour.

  • Listening Now : Tyler Sabbag – Luce Sull’acqua

Tyler Sabbag crafts a lush cinematic escape on Luce Sull’acqua, an evocative instrumental that drifts between Mediterranean dream-pop, modern classical elegance, and richly textured jazz-inflected ambience. Meaning “light on water,” the piece glows with warmth and quiet longing, unfolding through sweeping strings, delicate marimba, expressive woodwinds, and beautifully layered percussion. Rather than relying on dramatic peaks, the track moves with graceful fluidity, creating the sensation of a faded summer memory suspended somewhere between fantasy and nostalgia. Immersive, transportive, and deeply atmospheric, Luce Sull’acqua feels like a sun-drenched soundtrack to a half-remembered dream.
