The roots of the group came from the Monarchs and the Percussions, two acts that attended the same high school. Their English teacher, Beverly Hamilton, suggested that the two groups merge, and that idea changed everything. The name The Stylistics came from their guitar player, Robert

Alissa White-Gluz Launches Blue Medusa In New Era

Alissa White-Gluz has announced the launch of her new band, Blue Medusa, opening what she describes as the next evolution of her career in Extreme Metal. After more than a decade at the forefront of modern Metal, White-Gluz is stepping into a new chapter built around a fully independent artistic vision.
The new project promises the ferocity, theatrical energy and vocal firepower fans already associate with White-Gluz, now pushed into a fresh setting with blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, brutal vocals, fast drums and thoughtful melodies.
White-Gluz says Blue Medusa is her “creative melting pot” and a place where everything she has been building toward is amplified and unleashed.
“Blue Medusa is the next evolution of everything I’ve been building toward for years,” says White-Gluz. “It’s my creative melting pot. Everything fans enjoy about the energy, intensity, and performance they’ve always experienced on stage with me over the past two decades is still here, even stronger.
“That is me, that is who I am and who I’ve always been. And now it’s amplified and unleashed in a fully sovereign artistic vision. Our music has blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, brutal vocals, fast and aggressive drums, thoughtful melodies and most importantly, to me, really cogitative lyrics.”

White-Gluz, the former Arch Enemy singer, says the chemistry with her fellow musicians has been invigorating and has brought her back to life creatively.
She chose to reveal the band on International Women’s Day, saying that building stronger platforms for women in Heavy music matters deeply to her. New music is expected soon, while live debuts are already lined up at Louder Than Life and Aftershock. More details are set to follow as Blue Medusa begins its rise.
