Muse are teasing a genuinely epic and cinematic new single, Be With You.
The band have unveiled a one-minute and 26-second video from a beautiful church – via the YouTube comments, it appears to be the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles – where frontman Matt Bellamy is playing the organ and singing about how, ‘It seems my life’s been swallowed up / I’ve used up every ounce of luck / I need to leap into the fire, found a higher power and reach for something new.’
In typically mysterious Muse fashion, the end of the video features a quick flash of the following numbers and letters: 6EQUJ5. As fans on Reddit have noted, that’s a reference to the 1977 Wow! signal that appeared to point towards extra-terrestrials. What does that mean for this next era, then?
This’ll be the trio’s first new music since last year’s single Unravelling – check out the video below, and watch this space.

The roots of the group came from the Monarchs and the Percussions, two acts that attended the same high school. Their English teacher, Beverly Hamilton, suggested that the two groups merge, and that idea changed everything. The name The Stylistics came from their guitar player, Robert
