  • Listening Now : Van Sur Les – Soikkola

Van Sur Les craft a quietly transportive experience on Soikkola, an organic downtempo piece where jazztronica, neoclassical textures, and fragments of Ingrian folk memory drift together with cinematic grace. Amsterdam-based artist Dmitry Surugin draws deeply from his Ingrian heritage, allowing felt piano, upright bass, hammered dulcimer, and subtle acoustic percussion to unfold patiently like scenes from a forgotten landscape. There’s a ritualistic calm running through the composition, balancing fragile intimacy with expansive atmosphere. Rather than demanding attention, Soikkola slowly pulls the listener inward, revealing hidden emotional depth through detail, repetition, and beautifully restrained movement.

  • Listening Now : Ribguga – Fearless

Ribguga locks into full dancefloor mode on Fearless, a sleek tech house weapon built for packed rooms and late-night momentum. The Brazilian producer keeps things tight and effective, layering punchy grooves, rolling low-end, and hypnotic vocal touches into a track that never lets its grip loosen. Having already made noise across Ibiza and Amsterdam circuits, Ribguga understands exactly how to balance tension and release without overcomplicating the formula. Fearless thrives on movement and repetition, delivering that addictive club energy where every drop lands harder and every rhythm feels designed to pull bodies deeper into motion.

  • Listening Now : Ben Gel – Don’t Know What I Want (But I Know Where to Get It)

Ben Gel tears through Don’t Know What I Want (But I Know Where to Get It) with the kind of ragged urgency only a veteran of Australia’s underground rock circuit could deliver. Clocking in at just over two minutes, the track wastes no time, firing off driving basslines, gritty hooks, and street-level attitude with zero excess. Beneath the chaos sits a familiar frustration with routine and repetition, turning the daily grind into fuel for something loud and liberating. It’s raw, sweaty punk rock built for sticky floors, cheap beer, and shouting along like tomorrow can wait.

  • Listening Now : Kolby Hawkins – Essentia (feat. Michael DeMarco)

Kolby Hawkins explores movement and transformation on Essentia, an instrumental journey that constantly reshapes itself without losing its central pulse. Built around fluid grooves and intricate rhythmic interplay, the track shifts through multiple moods and textures with a natural, almost cinematic flow. Hawkins, a Maryland-based multi-instrumentalist, keeps the composition dynamic and immersive, while Michael DeMarco’s drumming adds sharp energy and controlled chaos to the experience. Self-produced and engineered, Essentia feels both technical and instinctive, balancing precision with spontaneity as each new section unfolds like another layer of an evolving state of mind.

  • Listening Now : Never Knows Best – I Guess

Never Knows Best blur nostalgia and emotional static on I Guess, a dark synth-driven track balancing post-punk melancholy with modern electronic tension. Formed by Cameron Dunbar after the end of his previous solo project, Never Knows Best leans into cold synth textures, distorted guitars, and mechanical rhythms to create something restless yet strangely intimate. The production feels spacious and nocturnal, allowing the emotion beneath the surface to slowly unfold rather than explode outward. There’s uncertainty stitched into every layer of I Guess, capturing the uneasy beauty of overthinking, emotional distance, and moments that never fully resolve.

  • Listening Now : Sionnul – Unknown Location

Sionnul sink into a hazy, slow-motion drift on Unknown Location, an instrumental piece where trip hop textures and psychedelic rock atmosphere quietly dissolve into one another. Inspired by abandoned structures in Yorklyn, Delaware, the track carries the feeling of wandering through forgotten spaces while the outside world rushes by somewhere far away. Echoes of Silent Hill unease and Funkadelic-style looseness hover beneath the surface, giving the composition a dreamlike tension without breaking its calm pulse. Unknown Location feels less like a destination and more like a suspended state of mind, somewhere between memory, decay, and peaceful escape.
