Classic Traffic Announce New Album Real Music: Hear “My Rage”
“Classic Traffic” is a funny thing to name your band, especially if Steve Winwood is not involved in any way. As far as we can tell, Winwood has zero involvement in the New Jersey DIY power pop trio Classic Traffic, who haven’t been around for long but who have already built up a solid discography. The formed in 2022, and they have three full-length albums and one collaborative covers EP to their name. This fall, they’ll release album number four, which is called Real Music — a funny thing to name your album.

Olivia Rodrigo Shares Colourful New Track ‘Serena Joy’
Ahead of her debut festival, Daisy Chain Fields, taking place this coming weekend, Olivia Rodrigo has shared a new track called ‘Serena Joy’,

The song, written during the sessions for her recently released album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, it was initially only available as a physical release on CD in one shop, that being Analog Records in Orange County, California. The song itself feels fitting for such a medium, as it pulls from the energetic yet minimal essence that made so many indie and alternative bands of the century tick.
It is colourful, honest and effortlessly catchy, like capturing the last of the sunshine before the rain clouds arrive overhead.
Check out ‘Serena Joy’ below.
Daisy Chain Fields will take place at Great Park in Irvine, California, on August 29. Joining Olivia will be Chappell Roan, Bikini Kill, The Breeders, Die Spitz, Garbage, Mitski and many more.

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham Strums The Smiths For Ukrainian Soldier
Oh boy. OK. Let’s get into it. Western politicians seem to believe that they can affect the outcome of the war between Russian and Ukraine, and they seem convinced that the best way to do this is by showing up in Ukraine with their guitars and serenading Ukrainian troops — or, at least, that the act of serenading Ukrainian troops will make them appear tough and cool to voters back home. Or maybe that’s not what they think! I don’t fucking know! I can’t read their minds! I just know that this exact thing has happened more than once and that it didn’t become any less absurd the second time.
