  • Dallas Toler-Wade of Narcotic Wasteland Joins The Zach Moonshine Show for an In-Depth Conversation Ahead of the Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour – @thebeast

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dallas Toler-Wade of Narcotic Wasteland Joins The Zach Moonshine Show for an In-Depth Conversation Ahead of the Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour

Metal Devastation Radio delivered another unforgettable night of underground metal as The Zach Moonshine Show welcomed legendary guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Dallas Toler-Wade of Narcotic Wasteland and former Nile fame for an exclusive live interview.
The evening kicked off with an explosive lineup of Battle of the Bands winners, featuring Trivan , Soul Of Sheol , Rage of Justice , Heidbekka , Mistress , and Oezys , before Dallas joined the show to discuss everything from the upcoming Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour to the future of Narcotic Wasteland.
During the conversation, Dallas revealed that the band is preparing to release a brand new single ahead of the tour and confirmed that a new full-length album is officially in the works. After spending the past few years focused on touring and building momentum, the band is now shifting its attention toward writing and recording new material.
The interview also explored Dallas’ longtime partnership with Solar Guitars, where he explained why the instruments have become his go-to choice both on stage and in the studio, even joking that he’d welcome the opportunity to someday have his own signature model.
One of the night’s most engaging discussions centered around artificial intelligence in music and artwork. While acknowledging AI has practical applications, Dallas made it clear that he prefers genuine human creativity over machine-generated content.

“I think what we do is much more interesting than just plugging in a bunch of stuff… You’ll never see me using it.”

The conversation also touched on the provocative title of the upcoming Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour . Rather than backing away from difficult subject matter, Dallas explained why heavy music has always served as an outlet for confronting uncomfortable realities.

“As a band or an artist, I think you should be able to do whatever the hell you want.”

Fans of old-school metal will especially appreciate the show’s deep dive into Dallas’ musical roots. From Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metal Church, Bolt Thrower, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, and beyond, the interview became a celebration of the albums, bands, and record store discoveries that helped shape one of death metal’s most respected musicians.
The discussion also highlighted the current state of death metal, with Dallas noting that the genre is arguably stronger than ever, pointing to the continued growth of major tours, packed festivals, and the enduring popularity of bands like Cannibal Corpse.
Before signing off, Dallas thanked metal fans around the world for decades of unwavering support, calling heavy metal “the most innovative and awesome music on the planet.”
