“I think that ultimately, as a Christian person, you… how can I put it? You have to stand by your friends. But that doesn’t mean you don’t have an opinion, and that doesn’t mean you’re not critical.”

  • Eva Under Fire Share Video For Brand New Song “Starshine”

Fresh off a summer and fall tour with labelmates Five Finger Death Punch

Emerging as the rock-band-to-watch of 2026, acclaimed Detroit, Michigan hard rock collective EVA UNDER FIRE unleash a brand new song and music video entitled ”Starshine” out now via Better Noise Music. Booming stadium-ready drums set the tempo for the track. A hummable guitar lead wraps around the rhythm like a python, squeezing tighter until frontwoman Amanda Lyberg’s alternately soulful and commanding vocals take hold. The tension increases, and she recognizes, “In the shadows, I’m a prisoner of my own head.” The energy swings into the jet stream of a soaring refrain with a lament, ”I’m in the starshine losing time.” It illuminates the group at their brightest.

The accompanying music video shocks the song to life on-screen, while the subject matter captures how the band sucked the marrow out of every date on the four-month trek.

Regarding the song, Lyberg said, ”When you’re up at 3am and can’t sleep because something feels off… that’s the ‘Starshine.’ Reflecting on how amazing this tour has been, I felt the song was a really great description of those post-tour blues. We wanted something that would serve as a nod to the tour, the incredible people we met and all our memories made along the way. ‘Starshine’ is like the superpower we discovered being on a massive tour testing ourselves on the biggest stages across the US. It’s changed us. It keeps us up at night. Normal life will never feel the same, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.”

To recap Eva Under Fire’s unstoppable year thus far, they dropped the new album Villainous. It featured a powerhouse collaboration with In This Moment’s Maria Brink. Beyond amassing millions of streams, while, in a detailed profile, RIFF Magazine marveled at how ”It didn’t take long for Eva Under Fire vocalist Amanda Lyberg to embrace her larger-than-life persona on the Detroit band’s new album, Villainous.”

As mentioned, the band criss-crossed the country supporting hard rock juggernaut Five Finger Death Punch in arenas and amphitheaters coast-to-coast.

Be on the lookout for more tour dates and news soon.

For all of EVA UNDER FIRE’s new music, Amanda Lyberg drew on her career as a licensed therapist to foster open dialogue among the band members, empowering everyone to be heard during the recording. Her work in therapy started in 2018 when she graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and went on to work at a mental health clinic in Detroit, Transcendence Behavioral Health (owned by Dr. Stephanie Williams). That same year, her father passed away due to a fentanyl overdose. Her mother survived the same batch that killed her father and has been sober for the past six years. In addition to her thriving and busy music career, Amanda is currently a practicing psychotherapist specializing in trauma work, grief, loss, and addiction recovery.

Her story turned into a 2023 short film, My Rockstar, which used EVA UNDER FIRE music throughout and has won over 20 awards at several film fests including Orlando Film Fest, Wild Rivers Film Festival, Toronto WILDfilm Festival, and many others.

Lauded as one of SiriusXM’s 2023 “Ones To Watch,” EVA UNDER FIRE released their critically acclaimed debut album, LOVE, DRUGS & MISERY via Better Noise Music in 2022. Its deluxe version includes the Top 20 Active Rock radio-charting single “Unstoppable” featuring country/rock artist Cory Marks. They’ve toured across the globe with acts including Bush, Bad Wolves, Pop Evil, Skillet, and Finger Eleven, while also appearing at some of rock’s biggest festivals including Aftershock, Inkcarceration, and Rock Fest.

EVA UNDER FIRE—who have amassed over 100 million streams and 10 million YouTube views—substantially expanded their fanbase following their featured appearance in the horror-thriller The Retaliators (Better Noise Films) and the inclusion of their single “Blow (Feat. Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills)” on the film’s soundtrack. Their single “Heroin(e)” was also featured on the soundtrack for the 2020 film Sno Babies (Better Noise Films), which has over 65M global streams. “Heroin(e)” has a combined total of over six million global streams, while “Blow (Feat. Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills)” has over 41.6M global total streams.
