This morning, death metal outfit Frozen Soul not only announced their new album No Place of Warmth was coming out on May 8 via Century Media, but they dropped a title track that features one of the more al track. Frozen Soul frontman Chad Green said this whole thing came about after meeting a few years ago.
“We met Gerard a couple of years ago and have become friends. I knew he had a love for metal, so I spun the idea to him about singing in a Frozen Soul song and he was stoked! Gerard is an amazing artist and musician whose creative vision has shaped generations and more to come.”
As for the song itself, Green said the title track is “about life at its coldest and the choice you have to let it consume you, or to use it to find warmth in a world that feels void of it. Life is always coming at you, and death doesn’t stop—you might slow it down, but it’s always coming—so you have to make the best out of it and march on.”

Broadside have shared a new song, set to appear on their upcoming album ‘Nowhere, At Last’, and it’s sure to get your hips moving.
It’s called ‘Control Freak’ and shows how the band inject plenty of soul and funk into their cathartic pop-punk sound. From the discoball glisten of the riffs to vocalist Oliver Baxxter’s caramel croons, all held together by plenty of cowbell in the background, it’s a multifaceted epic.
Lyrically, though, it’s a bit more dark, as it speaks of how it feels to have everything that you are in the hands of someone else. When you realise that you are being manipulated, and the emotional release that comes with that.
Oliver had this to say about it, explaining, “It’s about being controlled by someone else, and slowly realizing how much of yourself you’ve handed over. The quiet violence of being told it’s all in your head.“
‘Nowhere, At Last’ will be released on April 10 via Thriller Records.
It will previously released singles ‘Warning Signs’, ‘Someone You Need’, ‘I Think They Know‘ and ‘Blissed Out‘, and ‘Dark Passenger’, which sounds like this.
The band will return to the UK for Slam Dunk Festival. Taking place on May 23 at Hatfield House, Hatfield and on May 24 at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds. Rubbing shoulders with Good Charlotte, Taking Back Sunday, State Champs and Dashboard Confessional, to name a few, it’s going to be a classic. Grab your tickets from right here.
