  • BLUDFEST Is Heading To Czechia, First Names Announced

BLUDFEST has revealed it is going on a little European adventure this year, with its third event set to take place in Hradec Králové, Czechia.

After finding its home at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2024 and 2025, BLUDFEST will be expanding in a sensational way when it hits Park 360 on June 27, a showcase of just how far YUNGBLUD’s music and culture has travelled.

As well as a headline set from Dom, Biffy Clyro, Primal Scream, Palaye Royale, Destroy Lonely, LEAP, Pale Waves, Jesse Jo Stark, Bambie Thug, Nieve Ella and Pam Rabbit will be joining the party.

YUNGBLUD had this to say about the event, stating, “We have such an incredible fanbase in Czechia. They are one of the best audiences in the world.

“The reaction we got from a potential announcement when I said it on stage over there was so big and so electrifying, it kind of cemented that it would be the first international Bludfest. It’s going to be an incredible show.

“It feels so crazy to have planted a seed two years ago in Milton Keynes that has now grown roots and expanded all the way to Czechia. It cemented the idea that anything is possible when you never take no for an answer, and you have a community that will follow you anywhere. I’m really lucky.”

Tickets will be on general sale from February 27.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of the release of ‘Idols II’, the second and final part of YUNGBLUD’s life-changing ‘Idols’ era.

Made up of 6 new songs, it features one of the best tracks of the bunch in ‘Suburban Requiem’, which sounds a lot like this.

Dom had this to say about the release, stating, “This is it. The second chapter of the Idols story. Part 1 was a journey that helped me reclaim my identity from the darkest position I’ve ever been in my life. Part 2 is about realising that I am alive, that I am real, that this journey that I’ve been on didn’t kill me. It’s about realising that you can feel invincible when you actually feel yourself.”

The full tracklisting for ‘Idols’ now looks like this:

    1. Hello Heaven, Hello
    2. Idols Pt. I
    3. Lovesick Lullaby
    4. Zombie
    5. The Greatest Parade
    6. Change
    7. Monday Murder
    8. Ghosts
    9. Fire
    10. War
    11. Idols Pt. II
    12. Supermoon
    13. I Need You (To Make The World Seem Fine)
    14. The Postman
    15. Zombie (feat. The Smashing Pumpkins)
    16. Time
    17. War Part II
    18. Blueberry Hill
    19. Suburban Requiem

YUNGBLUD was the winner of Best British Artist at the 2025 Rock Sound Awards.

In a special interview, Dom looks back over the twelve career-defining months he just experienced to dissect the moments that changed everything, celebrate the people that made it possible and look forward to how he will further cement rock’s place back at the top.

  • AC/DC Icon Bon Scott to be celebrated in Bon 80 Plans

The Bon Scott Estate and exclusive licensing/merchandising partner Perryscope Productions have announced a wide-ranging programme of events and limited-edition releases to mark what would have been the legendary singer’s 80th birthday on 9 July 2026.

Bon Scott (1946-1980) fronted AC/DC, Fraternity and The Valentines, and remains one of rock’s most celebrated vocalists and lyricists.

“Bon’s attitude, demeanour, and frontman swagger gave him the Everyman persona that the world loved him for,” Rob Halford said. “His voice, look, and on-stage character drew us all in – there’s an unmatched uniqueness that solidifies Bon’s legendary status in rock ‘n’ roll.”

“I feel like Bon’s lyrics were way more punk in that they were just more realistic,” Scott Ian said. “You could read the lyrics to It’s A Long Way To The Top or Rock And Roll Singer, there’s no whiff of cheese anywhere. In the hands of other singers, it probably would have been terrible.

“He’s telling you a story in a way that’s just so relatable and so real life. And just hardcore, you know, real, there’s no fluff, there’s no bullshit. The way he could turn a phrase also keeps you interested, because it just doesn’t feel like I’m reading a generic story about some guy that wanted to be in a band.”

“Bon Scott was the coolest singer ever,” Lars Ulrich said. “The vocal delivery, the tongue-in-cheek double entendres and the magnetic personality. Those early AC/DC records – Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Let There Be Rock, Powerage, Highway To Hell – are just fucking timeless.”

  • Midnight Knows My Name is Sweet Mess’ Single Out Now

    Good Day Noir Family,
Sweet Mess storm in with “Midnight Knows My Name,” driven by a powerful riff that demands raised horns.

Midnight Knows My Name is Sweet Mess’ Single Out Now

The guitar tone is thick and assertive, cutting through the air with sharp precision. The track plants its flag firmly in hard rock territory. However, there is more than volume at play here; there is intent.

When the female lead vocal enters, the song gains depth and dimension. Her voice is warm yet forceful, gliding confidently over the muscular instrumental base. She does not fight the guitars. She rides them with authority, adding both grit and melody. The atmosphere expands into something almost epic, tinged with a faint dystopian edge that enhances the drama.

The chemistry within the band becomes clear very quickly. The rhythm section locks in tightly, providing a steady and reliable backbone. Bass and drums operate like a single engine, pushing the track forward without hesitation. Because of that cohesion, the guitars and vocals rest securely on top of a solid foundation. Every musician seems aware of their role, and that awareness strengthens the overall impact.

The chorus stands out as a true sing-along moment. It arrives with clarity and lift, inviting the listener to join in rather than simply observe. The melodic structure remains memorable without sacrificing the song’s edge. This balance between aggression and accessibility defines the track’s appeal.

A highlight comes with the guitar solo. It bursts in with confidence and technical control, showcasing skill without drifting into self-indulgence. In certain phrases, there is a subtle nod to Slash, particularly in the phrasing and tonal attack. It serves the song first and foremost, elevating the tension before guiding it back into the final chorus.

Production remains crisp and modern. Each instrument sits clearly within the mix, and nothing feels cluttered. Furthermore, the dynamic shifts feel intentional rather than accidental.

“Midnight Knows My Name” delivers direct, intense hard rock with conviction. Sweet Mess prove they possess experience and instinct, crafting a track that feels powerful, cohesive, and ready for the stage.
