The Pretty Reckless have released a special bonus version of “About You”, featuring Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Pat Smear. The track originally appeared on the band’s fifth studio album, Dear God, and now returns with additional contributions from the two rock veterans.

For this new rendition, Grohl takes on drums and backing vocals, while Smear adds his guitar work. The collaboration brings a fresh dimension to the original song, combining Taylor Momsen’s distinctive voice with the musicians’ unmistakable rock sound.

‘About You’ is one of my favorite songs on the record, so I wanted to do something special. I called Dave and Pat and asked them if they’d lend their magic to it. It was an amazing time in the studio making music, there’s nothing better than jamming with friends. I couldn’t be happier with the result. – Taylor Momsen

The release follows a successful period for The Pretty Reckless, whose latest album has further strengthened their position in the rock scene. Their single “When I Wake Up” recently secured the band’s ninth No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, setting a record for the most chart-topping singles by a female-fronted act.

Produced by Momsen, Ben Phillips, and Jonathan Wyman, “Dear God” showcases the band’s unfiltered approach to songwriting, exploring vulnerability, intensity, and artistic freedom.

After completing the North American leg of their “Dear God” headline tour and concluding their extensive run supporting AC/DC on the Power Up tour, The Pretty Reckless are preparing to return to the road for the European leg of their current tour.

With this new version of “About You”, the band offers fans a fresh take on one of Momsen’s personal favorites, strengthened by the contributions of two prominent figures in contemporary rock.

French artist Sauvageoness has released a new single, “RD E|A”, available now via Bandcamp. The track serves as the lead preview for the upcoming live album and cinematic film, Into the Deep Woods, scheduled for release on vinyl on October 30.

The new project is a live, filmed recording crafted to reflect the artist’s current live set. It builds directly upon the themes of metamorphosis established in the previous studio album, A Maze Deep In, which was released in May. While the music stands on its own, the accompanying film functions as an integral part of the concert experience and will remain largely unavailable on standard social media platforms.

To support the release, Sauvageoness will host a full album listening session on Bandcamp on Tuesday, October 20 at 9 PM CEST, allowing listeners to discuss the record directly with the artist. Additionally, a series of live shows across the south of France has been announced.

Romanian rock vocalist Alexandra Căpitănescu welcomed us to “UTOPIA” with her debut album, Choke Me, which was released today. The album takes its name from her thunderous heavy hit that earned her third place at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, and also features the previously released track “HEAT”.

To coincide with the album launch, the band released the new single “UTOPIA” alongside an official music video.

In support of the new material, Căpitănescu and her band are currently on their European tour. Having already played dates in London and Manchester, the tour continues with upcoming performances in Sofia, Helsinki, Warsaw, Stockholm, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

Los Angeles punk rockers The Hellflowers have released their new single “Creature” on October 13, 2026. Inspired by vocalist Christina Eskew’s obsession with the classic monster movie Creature from the Black Lagoon, the track arrives just in time for Halloween and offers the latest preview of the band’s forthcoming third album, “Haunted”, due in February 2027.

Part vintage horror fantasy and part unrequited love song, “Creature” explores the irresistible pull of falling for someone—or something—you can never truly have. Punk-rock energy, garage-rock grit and a twisted romantic streak collide in a darkly playful love letter to the misunderstood monster lurking beneath the surface.

“I am obsessed with the Creature from the Black Lagoon, so I thought it was high time I wrote a love song about him,” says Christina Eskew. “I’m stoked it will be out just in time for Halloween.”

The accompanying music video was directed by Matt Eskew, with additional camera work by Lara Green and Adie Consentino. 

“Creature” follows the band’s September single “Wild Ones,” a defiant anthem celebrating women’s autonomy and the freedom to live on their own terms. Both songs introduce the next chapter for The Hellflowers as they prepare to release “Haunted” in February.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2015 by Christina and Matt Eskew, The Hellflowers blend the melodic strength of Blondie and The Pretenders with the raw, infectious energy of The Ramones and The Clash. Over the past decade, the band has built a reputation for high-energy live performances, memorable hooks and a fiercely independent DIY spirit.

The Hellflowers have toured extensively throughout the United States and internationally, including three tours of the United Kingdom and appearances in France, Japan and Mexico.
