  • ROB ZOMBIE’s Complete “Firefly Trilogy” Makes Its 4K Debut This October

    Rob Zombie‘s twisted Firefly family is getting the deluxe treatment. Lionsgate will release the complete Firefly Trilogy as an eight-disc collector’s set on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and digital on Oct. 13, bundling House of 1000 CorpsesThe Devil’s Rejects and 3 From Hell together for the first time in this format. It also marks the first time House of 1000 Corpses will be available on 4K at all.

    Zombie wrote and directed all three films, which follow the Firefly family across its escalating reign of chaos. The trilogy’s cast reads like a horror hall of fame, including Sid HaigBill MoseleySheri Moon ZombieKaren BlackKen ForeeWilliam ForsytheRichard BrakeJeff Daniel PhillipsDee WallaceEmilio Rivera and Danny Trejo.

    The new set comes loaded with physical extras, including an exclusive collectible poster, a photography book curated by Zombie himself, original artwork from Zombie, art cards, and additional artwork from Vance Kelly. On the documentary side, it includes the feature-length 30 Days in Hell: The Making of The Devil’s Rejects along with the four-part To Hell and Back: The Making of 3 From Hell, plus behind-the-scenes footage and feature-length commentary tracks from Zombie across the films. The 4K transfers of House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejectswill also include Dolby Vision.

    Beyond his work behind the camera on the Firefly films, Zombie has directed eight features total as a filmmaker, musician, and author, including 2016’s 31 and 2012’s The Lords of Salem. His directing résumé also includes the 2007 reimagining of John Carpenter‘s Halloween and its follow-up, Halloween 2. He’s also taken his own comic book series and adapted it into the R-rated animated feature The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.

Since last year’s Trash Mountain, the Burlington singer-songwriter has been leaning into loudness with “Election Day” and “Portal To The Past,” but she’s returning to a mellow acoustic sound with today’s offering “The Afterglow,” which was partly inspired by the death of folk legend Michael Hurley.

    UK progressive, alternative metal band HAKEN recently released the ‘in a fever dream’ EP, out right now digitally, and physically as CD and vinyl on the 18th September. With the band set to tour Europe later this year, they are now pleased to finally reveal a headline UK tour for February 2027.

    The band comments: “Don’t worry – we were never going to desert you. We can’t wait to bring ‘in a fever dream’ to the UK and Ireland in February 2027. 7 shows, culminating in our hometown of London. Will you join us in the fever dream?”
