  • LORDS OF ACID Announce “CHEEKY FREAKY TOUR – PT. 2”

After a wildly successful first leg, LORDS OF ACID are bringing the party back for another round with the Cheeky Freaky Tour – PT. 2, featuring 15 brand-new U.S. dates this October.

The first Cheeky Freaky Tour recently wrapped after an unforgettable run filled with sold out shows, enthusiastic crowds, outrageous performances and the wild live energy that has defined Lords of Acid for decades. The response was so strong that the band decided there was only one thing to do: take the show back on the road.

“We’re doing Cheeky Freaky Part 2 for one simple reason: the fans asked for more,” says LORDS OF ACID founder Praga Khan. “The energy, the sold out shows, the incredible response – it all made us realize one thing: we weren’t ready to say goodbye just yet. So we’re coming back louder, freakier and more outrageous than ever.”

Joining LORDS OF ACID once again will be Princess SuperstarTony & The Kiki and MZ NEON—three artists whose own fearless, freaky and outrageous performances helped turn the first tour into a full-night spectacle from the moment the doors opened.

This is far more than a traditional concert bill. Each artist brings a distinct mix of attitude, sexuality, theatricality, chaos and larger-than-life energy, building toward a night that feels more like an immersive underground party than a standard rock show. Together, the entire lineup creates the kind of unpredictable, and wildly entertaining experience that made the first Cheeky Freaky Tour such a success. But this one goes further!

The Cheeky Freaky Tour – PT. 2 begins October 15 in Norwalk, Connecticut, and concludes October 31 in Philadelphia. LORDS OF ACID will also make a special appearance at Sick New World Texas in Fort Worth on October 24.

Tickets and VIP Meet And Greets are available at www.lordsofacid.com.

Los Angeles, CA. (July 1st, 2026) – Following the recent announcement of their upcoming North American fall tour dates, The Mars Volta have officially announced the next phase of their cryptic interactive campaign: a brand-new live album titled “Lucro Sucio; Unfinished Business”.

The first single taken from the record, titled Cue The Sun / Alba del Orate is now available on all streaming platforms.

The project marks a major milestone for the group, serving as their first official live release since 2005’s Scabdates. Far from a straightforward live recording of their most recent studio album, “Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacío,” this new release is a deep reinterpretation of the source material with an added twist: the band’s invitation for fans to directly participate in the album-making process offering fans access to live recordings captured during their 2025 tour.

The initiative originally began with a cryptic countdown clock hosted on a standalone website. Upon its conclusion on June 9, the band unveiled an interactive digital experience featuring audio previews from multiple live recordings and a voting mechanism that allows fans to choose which specific performances make the final cut for the album. In classic Mars Volta fashion, each track is represented by a symbolic visual marker tied to the city where it was captured, a rollout that reflects the band’s continued embrace of unconventional, immersive release strategies while expanding the creative universe surrounding “Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacío.”

Capturing The Mars Volta as they explore new boundaries of their creative expression, this forthcoming live album documents exactly how the new material evolved on stage while highlighting the band’s renowned live intensity, improvisational spirit, and ever-expanding approach to performance. “Lucro Sucio; Unfinished Business” will be available across three distinct configurations, allowing physical collectors to choose between a Special Edition CD Digipak or a limited Edition 2LP Vinyl set to be released on October 16th as well as a launch on all major streaming platforms as a Digital Album enhanced with Dolby Atmos spatial audio on September 4th.

Pre-orders are now live at www.themarsvolta.com

  • Temple Witch Removes the Veil to Explore New Horizons with Producer Dave Hillis – @thebeast

(Photo by: Hannah Wheeler/Canis Panthera Photography)

Temple Witch is emerging as one of the most compelling voices in the growing Northeast Ohio doom metal movement — a scene shaped as much by bleak industrial landscapes and punishing winters as by the music itself. In an era where metal continues to splinter and evolve into increasingly diverse forms, the band embraces the heavier, fuzz-drenched edges of the genre, crafting songs that feel both colossal and deeply human.

Blending the raw urgency of 1980s and 1990s underground punk with the crushing weight of modern stoner rock and doom metal, Temple Witch has carved out a sound that feels distinct within their regional scene. Their music balances towering riffs with emotional honesty, creating immersive songs that unfold like journeys through isolation, struggle, and catharsis.

That emotional depth is front and center in the band’s recent video releases, “Wraith” and “Earthen Jug,” both of which have generated growing attention around the group. “Wraith,” a hybrid of animation and live action, explores themes of loneliness through haunting imagery and atmosphere. “Earthen Jug,” meanwhile, confronts mental illness with stark realism, continuing the band’s commitment to unfiltered expression and vulnerable storytelling.

Momentum around Temple Witch continues to build heading into 2026. The coming months will see the band taking part in multiple festivals, out-of-state runs, interviews, and radio appearances, all while preparing a wave of new material.

Among the most anticipated developments is the band’s forthcoming full-length album. In October 2025, Temple Witch traveled to Pittsburgh to record at The Vault with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Hillis. Known for his work with legendary acts including Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Temple of the Dog, Hillis helped the band capture the record in an intense three-day session. Anticipation surrounding the release continues to grow as fans await what may be the band’s defining statement to date.

At its core, Temple Witch remains driven by a simple philosophy: to express honestly what they feel and observe through music. While their influences stretch across decades of heavy music, the band sees emotional experience — not genre conventions — as the true force shaping their sound. Through that authenticity, Temple Witch hopes to create genuine human connection and contribute something real to the ever-expanding world of heavy music.

For Temple Witch, this is more than a moment. It is the beginning of something larger, and they are inviting listeners to be part of it.
