  • Triosphere Releases “Shorelines” Single and Music Video

Norwegian heavy metal band Triosphere has released a new single and official music video for “Shorelines”. The track serves as the fourth and final preview of the group’s highly anticipated upcoming studio album, Oceans Above, Stars Below, which is scheduled to be released later this summer on August 28 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Musically, the new track introduces a lighter atmosphere compared to the heavier material on the rest of the record. Originally carrying a working title that described it as a happy song, the new release leans into a feel good rock style that adds dynamic variation to the album. The accompanying music video visually matches this upbeat energy, combining a casual performance by Triosphere with live concert footage and behind the scenes clips from the creation of their previous music videos for “Of Tyrants” and “Oceans Above, Stars Below”.

To ensure the highest audio quality for Oceans Above, Stars Below, the band collaborated with renowned engineer Alexander Backlund at Fascination Street Studios to record drums and vocals before handing mixing duties to Jens Bogren. Featuring visually striking artwork by Giannis Nakos, the new record perfectly captures the signature blend of hard rock, progressive power metal, and thrash elements that Triosphere has cultivated since their 2006 debut. “Shorelines” is currently available to stream across all major digital platforms.

  • ESOTERIK Releases Hypnotic New Single “No Absolutes”

United States based alternative metal duo ESOTERIK has released a new single and official visualizer titled “No Absolutes.” The track serves as the latest preview of the group’s highly anticipated upcoming album, Nü Skin. Directly following their previous single “Cycles,” this new release continues the band’s deliberate stylistic shift into heavier sonic territory.

Musically, the new track blends syncopated industrial rhythms with heavy down tuned guitars and expansive electronic production. Thematically, “No Absolutes” rejects artificial moral binaries and the societal demand for perfection, urging listeners to embrace the chaotic and imperfect nature of the human journey. Vocalist Allison Eckfeldt anchors the track by transitioning fluidly between intimate whispers and explosive, confrontational vocal deliveries.

Since forming in 2013, Eckfeldt and instrumentalist Brady Bledsoe have built a dedicated international following by consistently evolving their sound. To visually complement the heavy instrumentation and conceptual depth of “No Absolutes,” the single artwork prominently features the Vesica Piscis symbol wrapped in thorns, visually reinforcing the song’s core message of spiritual and physical unification. The new track is currently available to stream across all major digital platforms.

(written by Islander) As you know if you’ve stopped by here in previous Saturdays, I sometimes start with a shiny lure, a new song or video from a well-known band, and then drag people down into much deeper waters, kind of the reverse of conventional fishing (fishing from below). Today I do have a shiny […]
