  • Segmentia Releases Power Metal Inspired Single Nuclear Sun Ahead Of Debut Album

Finnish metal band Segmentia has released a new single titled “Nuclear Sun.” The track serves as the second preview from the group’s upcoming debut full length album. Mastered by Svante Forsbäck and mixed by Samu Oittinen, the new song is currently available to stream across all major digital platforms alongside an official music video.

Musically, the track serves as a direct homage to the power metal era of the early 2000s, specifically paying tribute to songwriter and drummer Jere Luokkamäki’s previous years playing with Celesty. The song balances delicate guitar work with epic cinematic soundscapes. Thematically, vocalist Kansana and Luokkamäki crafted lyrics that explore the current state of the world, focusing on humanity’s mistreatment of the planet and the deep despair that accompanies environmental destruction.

Coinciding with the single release, Segmentia also shared a new performance music video produced by Tomi Salminen. The visual piece operates as the second installment of an ongoing audiovisual trilogy set in the Southern Ostrobothnia region of Finland. Operating as a four piece unit, the band continues to blend power metal foundations with their signature melancholic atmosphere as they build toward the official launch of their debut record.
