Trivium are gearing up for a new chapter, announcing a North American headlining tour for fall 2026 while confirming that fresh music is on the way. The band has also revealed plans to introduce new songs during the upcoming run, giving fans an early taste of what’s next.

The tour begins on November 5 in St. Petersburg, Florida, and wraps up on December 19 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Joining Trivium on the road will be In Flames, Orbit Culture, Fit For An Autopsy, and Frozen Soul, making for a lineup packed with established names and rising heavy hitters. The band’s latest full-length, In The Court Of The Dragon, arrived in 2021 and earned widespread praise across both mainstream and metal-focused publications. Before that, Trivium made a major impact with 2005’s Ascendancy, which earned Kerrang!‘s “Album Of The Year”, received a gold certification in the U.K., and surpassed 500,000 copies sold worldwide. Metal Hammer also included the record in the Top 15 of “The 100 Greatest Metal Albums Of The 21st Century”.

That momentum carried into a run of six consecutive Top 25 entries on the Billboard 200 and five straight Top 3 placements on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, reaching a high point with 2017’s The Sin And The Sentence. The album pushed the band’s total streaming numbers beyond 250 million, while the track “Betrayer” earned a Grammy nomination in the “Best Metal Performance” category.

Critical praise continued throughout that period, with Metal Hammer describing the group as “quite simply one of the best bands in modern metal.”

In 2020, Trivium released What The Dead Men Say, produced by the band alongside Josh Wilbur. The record debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard 200, reached No. 2 on the Top Current Albums chart, and landed at No. 3 on both the Hard Rock Albums and Top Rock Albums charts.

Over the years, Trivium have shared stages with Metallica, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and many other major acts, while also appearing on the main stages at Download, Bloodstock, Knotfest, and other leading festivals. The band also released the Struck Dead EP in fall 2025.

With new material ready to hit the stage and a tour featuring one of the strongest support bills of the year, Trivium looks set to close out 2026 with plenty of momentum.

Original Wayne Static Recording of “Hollow” Surfaces Online Following YouTube Removal

Previously unheard version remains available through alternate stream after initial upload is taken down
A previously unreleased recording of “Hollow” featuring the late Wayne Static has surfaced online, giving fans the opportunity to hear an earlier version of the song before it was reworked for Static-X’s Project: Regeneration Vol. 1 .
The recording was released by director Matt Zane , who is currently completing an unauthorized documentary exploring the lives of Wayne Static and his late wife, Tera Wray. While the song was initially uploaded to YouTube, it has since been removed from the platform. The recording remains available through an alternate streaming link.
“Hollow” would later become the lead single from Project: Regeneration Vol. 1 , the 2020 album built around vocal recordings Wayne Static left behind prior to his passing in 2014. At the time of the album’s release, members of the reformed Static-X stated that portions of the song had been unfinished and required additional work before its release.
Zane disputes that characterization, saying he believes the newly surfaced recording indicates the song was substantially complete before it was reworked.


“Let’s be honest, there was no reason to pull the music off this track and change it,” said Matt Zane. “But by doing so they get some of the publishing. Personally, I would have left it as Wayne intended.”


The circumstances surrounding the creation and subsequent release of “Hollow” remain a matter of public disagreement between Zane and those involved with the Project: Regeneration releases.
The release has already drawn attention within the metal community and was recently covered by ThePRP , which reported on the appearance of the original recording and the ongoing discussion surrounding Zane’s forthcoming documentary.
Zane has also announced that his documentary examining the lives of Wayne Static and Tera Wray is expected to be released free to stream in early 2027. The project has faced public objections from members of the current Static-X camp, as well as representatives of the estates of Wayne Static and Tera Wray. Zane has publicly stated that he intends to continue with the film.
For longtime fans, the release offers a rare opportunity to hear Wayne Static’s original performance and compare it with the version that ultimately appeared on Project: Regeneration Vol. 1 .

The Australian-born, Berlin-based singer-songwriter got his start in the instrumental post-rock band City City City but quickly moved on to wide-reaching singer-songwriter albums under his own name, which for a few years were credited to Ned Collette & Wirewalker. In recent years he’s been closely tied to Kentucky alt-Americana types like Ryan Davis (who put out 2024’s seriously great Our Other History on his Sophomore Lounge label) and Will Oldham (who wrote the liner notes for Our Other History).
