President Announce Inaugural North American Tour, If That’s Your Thing… I Guess…
Listen, you and I both know there’s something fishy going on with this whole President thing. Maybe it’s the gimmick. Maybe it’s the fact that they were suddenly popular despite never putting out a song. But for many, their reasons don’t extend beyond the fact that they feel like an industry plant.

6/27/2026 Middle East Upstairs – Cambridge, MAGOZU will be touring in support of their forthcoming new full-length, Gozu VI, set for release on May 15th through Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records.
“We wanted something that really moved and hit a nerve,” says GOZU singer/guitarist Marc Gaffney on composing the band’s sixth studio album. “I was pretty roughed up emotionally while writing. I played guitar more in the past two years than ever before. I would work, go to the gym, come home, eat and then play guitar until I went to bed.”
The end result is eight action-packed tracks, produced and mixed by Benny Grotto at Boston’s Mad Oak Studios. With Gozu VI, the lineup’s melding of intense, fuzzy ’70s-inspired riffs, rich, catchy, grunge-esque vocal melodies, and a touch of oldschool stoner psychedelia has reached a zenith. Categorize them how you will. “We don’t mind if people think we’re stoner, doom, heavy, easy listening with a touch of cayenne pepper. I feel we’re just a heavy soulful band,” Gaff says. “We play music that people can shake their ass to and lyrics that are honest and deal with human nature.”

Full Album Stream: Sweat –Tear it on Down
A riddle for you: What has a bunch of arms and legs and features members of Graf Orlock, Dangers, Dogteeth and Ghostlimb? That would be LA hardcore punk ’n rollers Sweat, who are about to release their third full-length, Tear it on Down. We’re offering a complimentary peek at said ripper, which features 11 sweaty (sorry) tracks of incendiary, angry and riff-heavy punk rock performed by Tuna Tardugno (vocals), Anthony Rivera (drums), Justin Smith (guitars/vocals) and Kevin Conway (bass).

Tear it on Down was recorded live to tape July 2025 at the Atomic Garden, Oakland, CA. It was tracked, mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley. It’s set for release on vinyl and digitally via Vitriol Records on April 3. Place your preorder here (digital) or here (vinyl).
Vocalist Tuna Tardugno had this to say about Sweat’s new full-length:
“As a whole, this record addresses coming to terms with a world that is seemingly on its last leg and what feels like a firsthand view of ensuing collapse. It is about resilience, integrity, exhaustion and grief against the backdrop of an increasingly uncertain future and a general human decorum gone to shit, all awash in a wave of increasing brutality from the prevailing order. Although pessimistic, it counters that grief by rejecting those new norms and champions self-reliance and an understanding that we all have to sort this out ourselves. Ultimately, it settles on a hesitant hope that there is something worth pushing for and in that aggrieved pushing, an intrinsic value that ties us all together.
TLDR: Shit sucks, record rips, do something.”
