Jack Avery, a former member of the now-defunct boy band Why Don’t We, was the target of an alleged murder plot by his ex-girlfriend, the TikTok personality Gabbie Gonzalez. Gonzalez was charged Tuesday for conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and solicitation to commit murder, as was her father, Francisco Gonzalez, and surf instructor Kai Cordrey. According to court documents, the alleged murder conspiracy stemmed from conflicts over the custody of Avery and Gonzalez’s young daughter.

GRETA VAN FLEET Sets A One-Time Club Show At New York’s Bowery Ballroom
Greta Van Fleet is set to play a rare intimate show at the Bowery Ballroom on May 27, marking the band’s first live performance since September 2024.
After spending the last several years headlining arenas and major venues, Greta Van Fleet will step into one of New York City’s most iconic smaller clubs for a one-night-only appearance. The group last performed in the city at a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden.
Tickets for the event will only be available through in-person purchase beginning May 26 at 9:00 a.m. at the Bowery Ballroom box office. Organizers expect heavy demand for what is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about rock shows of 2026.
The performance signals the beginning of a new chapter for the Grammy-winning Nashville-based band, which has built a strong following through extensive touring, platinum-selling releases, and a reputation for high-energy live performances.
Since emerging from Michigan, Greta Van Fleet have developed into one of modern rock’s most recognizable acts, connecting with longtime classic rock fans as well as younger listeners discovering the genre.
The Bowery Ballroom appearance gives fans a chance to see the band in a far more personal setting than the arenas and stadiums they have become known for playing in recent years.
Additional ticket details have also been released. Sales begin Tuesday, May 26, at 9:00 a.m. at the Bowery Ballroom box office located at 6 Delancey St, New York, NY 10002. Tickets are priced at $20, including fees, with a two-ticket limit per person on a first-come, first-served basis. The venue is cashless and accepts physical credit cards, debit cards, and tap-to-pay options. Wristbands will be distributed to hold places in line, and attendees under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The members of Greta Van Fleet — brothers Josh Kiszka, Jake Kiszka, Sam Kiszka, and drummer Daniel Wagner — have remained active during the band’s time away from the stage.
Sam Kiszka and Daniel Wagner recently appeared on The Dreamin’ Kind, the 2026 release from Langhorne Slim. Jake Kiszka also appeared in the Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere biopic as a guitarist performing in a New Jersey club scene.
Meanwhile, Mirador — the project formed by Jake Kiszka and Ida Mae member Chris Turpin — recently issued the EP The Gathering At Badon Hill.

MK Music USA Founder Nolan Hodges Announces Retirement After 23 Years in the Music Industry – @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MK Music USA Founder Nolan Hodges Announces Retirement After 23 Years in the Music Industry
Nolan Hodges is officially closing the curtain on a 23-year run in the music industry, announcing his retirement and final celebration show set to coincide with his 50th birthday.
After more than two decades of relentless work across booking, artist development, management, and live event production, Hodges is stepping away with one final sendoff that reflects the same spirit that defined his career: loud, real, and built for the stage.
From early days booking cover bands to helping develop original acts and ultimately evolving into full-scale artist management, the journey of MK Music USA has spanned every corner of the independent music world. Over the years, the company has secured 8 independent record deals, contributed to a major motion picture soundtrack and film sync placement, and booked more than 3,000 live shows.
Hodges’ career has placed him backstage, on the road, and in the trenches of the industry, sharing moments with artists and professionals across every level of the business. From eating dinner backstage with Shinedown at Sturgis to touring alongside acts such as Powerman 5000, the ride has been defined by both grit and gratitude. Along the way, he built lasting relationships with industry figures including managers like Jeff Hanson (Creed, Paramore, Alter Bridge, Sevendust, Saving Abel) and Grammy-winning producer Malcolm Springer.
“There’s been a lot of highs, a lot of lessons, and a lot of friendships that will last forever,” Hodges said, reflecting on his career. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
Now, he is choosing to go out the way he came in: with a full-volume celebration. The final event will take place as a beachside summer blowout, marking both his 50th birthday and his official retirement from the industry.
In true sendoff fashion, Hodges will also be giving back to fans and attendees in a big way. Five brand new iPads will be randomly given away to patrons during the event.
The lineup for the night includes:
Scotty Austin (formerly of Saving Abel)
The Almas
Lowerline
NVSN
Lanidae
Event Details:
When: Saturday, August 15th
Where: The Sanctuary Biloxi, MS
Doors: 7:00 PM

After 23 years, thousands of shows, and a lifetime of stories, Nolan Hodges is not fading out quietly. He is signing off the only way that makes sense: one last night, full volume, on the beach, surrounded by music, friends, and the community he helped build.
Don’t miss it.
