On Tuesday, the 15th-seeded Pitt scored an upset win over Stanford in the opening game of the ACC tournament. It was a closely contested game, and Pitt won it by a single point, 64-63. The true hero of the game was senior guard Damarco Minor, who caught his own rebound and scored with less than a second on the clock. But in a game that close, anything can make a difference. So maybe the deciding factor was the one mysterious, extremely loud person, presumably a Pitt fan, who spent the game’s second half bellowing ’90s alt-rock ballads at Stanford players.

Industrial metal stalwarts Fear Factory are adding to their existing touring plans by announcing a headlining run of shows called the ‘Cybernetic Domination Tour’.
Set to kick off on November 13 in Wichita, Kansas and coming to a close on November 29 in Los Angeles, the 12-date run will see the band sharing stages with Darkest Hour and Brotality serving as direct support and opening act, respectively.
This newly announced tour will take place after their previously announced run with Mushroomhead and Mongolian folk metal outfit Nine Treasures. The dates for that tour are posted below, along with the dates from the ‘Cybernetic Domination’ run.

Therapy? have just been announced as the new Friday night headliners of Takedown Festival 2026.
The Northern Ireland alt.rock legends will headline the Kerrang! Stage on the Friday night (April 3) of the Portsmouth event, with Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons having had to pull out due to an ongoing medical condition.
“As you will have heard, Phil Campbell has sadly had to withdraw from this year’s event,” explains Takedown’s Kai Harris. “Phil’s health and family comes first of course and we are sure you will join all of us at Takedown Festival in wishing him a speedy recovery.
“We are super-grateful and beyond excited to announce a band very dear to our hearts that will be filling Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons’ very large boots. The very first band I saw at a big venue 34 years ago, purveyors of the finest bouncy riffage and hooks to die for, the mighty… Therapy?”
Elsewhere, Jack Bennett aka Grumble Bee will also appear at Takedown 2026, along with the newly-revealed winners of the Amplead: Apply To Play scheme, Blacklight Vice, Monochrome and Stone Soup.
The fest takes place at Portsmouth Guildhall on April 3 – 4, and will also include the likes of PRESIDENT, WARGASM, As It Is, Graphic Nature, Mouth Culture, Vower and Zetra. Get your tickets now.
