On April 3, 2026, Ukrainian folk metal project ORATHANIA will release its debut album Echo Of Freedom via Archivist Records.

ORATHANIA was formed in Kyiv in 2025 by Ukrainian lirnyk-kobzar Borgvarr together with Varggoth and Karpath from the original line-up of Nokturnal Mortum. The project brings together traditional Ukrainian elements and heavy music without separating the two into “folk” and “metal” – both are treated as one language.

The band explores the ancient and mystical roots of Ukraine and the unbreakable spirit of a land shaped by historical trials and an unwavering belief in Ukraine’s physical and existential victory.

The band’s second single, “Nashe Svitlo”, is out now, accompanied by an official lyric video, and is presented with the following message: “Today, on a day of remembrance, pain, and resilience, ORATHANIA presents ‘Our Light.’ May our light heal the bitterness of all sorrows.
