The Justin Saladino Band has released “Leave Me Blue,” the first single from its upcoming album Steal My Soul, which is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.
Available now on major streaming platforms, “Leave Me Blue” is a blues ballad co-written by Justin Saladino and Dan Bano. Centered around the lyric “Brown eyes, you leave me blue,” the song explores themes of tension, vulnerability, and unresolved devotion.
Built around a descending chord progression and a vocal-driven melody, the track takes a stripped-down approach that emphasizes emotion and feel. Rather than relying on flashy guitar work, the song allows the instrument to serve the story and atmosphere.
“We just wanted to play some blues,” says Justin Saladino. “So we followed that feeling and dove in headfirst.”
“Leave Me Blue” offers an early glimpse into the musical direction of Steal My Soul. According to Saladino, the album will showcase a broad range of blues influences while maintaining a cohesive identity.
From traditional blues ballads and shuffles to blues-rock and roots-inspired sounds, the album aims to highlight different corners of the genre without losing its distinctive voice.
“I’ve always wanted to make a blues album that lives in a few different corners of the genre, but still speaks with one voice,” says the singer and guitarist.
Steal My Soul arrives October 2, 2026.
