  • Listening Now : The Pixel Rain – A Sense Of Danger

The Pixel Rain’s A Sense Of Danger dives into a brooding dark wave atmosphere, built around rumbling bass, noisy electronic percussion, distorted synths, and a persistent sense of tension. The track gradually intensifies as the verses maintain a restrained, ominous pulse before the choruses unleash harsher and more frantic textures. The production feels deliberately claustrophobic, allowing the darker electronic elements to dominate without losing its underlying rhythmic drive. The Pixel Rain create a convincing balance between menace and momentum, with the arrangement refusing an easy resolution and instead leaving the tension hanging in the air.

A dark, abrasive, and immersive electronic piece with plenty of weight.

  • Listening Now : Tinsley – More Alive

Tinsley’s More Alive is a glossy indie-pop track with a distinctly nostalgic 2000s feel, pairing shimmering production with a polished, catchy pop structure. The song carries an emotional tension beneath its bright surface, capturing the sudden rush of attraction and the realization that something has been missing in a relationship. Tinsley delivers the story with a natural, expressive vocal performance, while the upbeat arrangement keeps the track light and accessible rather than overly dramatic. The combination of sparkling textures, melodic hooks, and romantic uncertainty gives More Alive an easy soundtrack quality, balancing feel-good pop energy with a more reflective emotional core.

  • Bailey Spinn Hits Reset With Powerful New Rock Anthem “start again”

Rising alternative rock artist Bailey Spinn released a powerful new single titled “start again” on August 28. Produced by Scott Stevens, the track marks a deliberate step away from the pop-punk foundation of her earlier material, fully embracing heavier sonic territory. Driven by snarling guitar riffs and thundering rhythmic energy, the melodic metal anthem showcases an aggressive new vocal direction for the artist. Thematically, “start again” captures the complicated emotional realization that a relationship has reached the brink of failure, channeling feelings of betrayal, loneliness, and the difficult process of finally letting go.

The new single directly follows a string of heavier releases including “voodoo” and “homicide,” continuing the momentum built by her debut album loser which arrived in March 2025. This autumn, Bailey Spinn will bring her newly evolved sound to stages across the United States as she joins Scene Queen and WARGASM for the extensive Metalicious Tour. The massive trek officially begins on September 15 at The Masquerade in Atlanta and will hit major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York before concluding in Orlando on October 25.

Norwegian heavy metal band Triosphere released their highly anticipated studio album, Oceans Above, Stars Below, on August 28 via Frontiers Music Srl. Coinciding with the arrival of the record, the group shared an official visualizer video for the focus track “Through The Phantom Wall.” The new single delivers a heavy, mid tempo atmosphere filled with drama, with vocalist Ida Haukland explaining that the lyrics explore how humanity has historically designed and perished within illusory walls.

  • Nephila Releases Atmospheric New Concept Album “Huldra”

Swedish heavy rock band Nephila released their highly anticipated sophomore album Huldra on August 28 via Majestic Mountain Records. The record marks a significant sonic transformation for the seven-piece collective, shedding the warmer 1970s rock swagger of their debut in favor of a much heavier and darker atmosphere. Thematically, the album operates as a cinematic concept record inspired by the skogsrå, the enigmatic forest spirit of Nordic folklore. Across the eight tracks, the band utilizes this mythological figure to explore modern concepts of identity, freedom, and the historical fear of independent women who refuse to conform.

Operating out of Arvika, the masked ensemble recorded the new material in a remote former orphanage to capture an authentic sense of isolation. The ambitious project was driven forward by the dual vocal performances of Josephine Asker and new member Linn Edlund. To celebrate the arrival of the record the group recently shared an official music video for the title track which visually captures a desperate pursuit through the moonlit woods. Huldra is currently available to stream and download across all major digital platforms following a long three-year creative journey.
