An official event celebrating five decades of Kiss in Germany has been announced for October 30, 2026, at Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf.
Billed as the 50 Years Of Kiss In Germany: Official Fan Celebration, the event will feature Kiss guitarist Tommy Thayer as its main special guest. During the evening, Thayer will join Kiss Forever Band on stage for part of the tribute band’s live performance. Fans will also have access to a limited number of autograph signings and photo opportunities with the guitarist.
The live entertainment will be led by Kiss Forever Band, with German metal icon Doro Pesch also taking part in the celebration. She is scheduled to join both Thayer and Kiss Forever Band for the event’s closing musical performance.
Additional guests include concert promoter Ossy Hoppe and photographer Didi Zill, both of whom have longstanding connections to Kiss and their history in Germany.
Beyond the live performances, attendees can expect displays featuring rare Kiss memorabilia, exclusive merchandise created for the event, limited music releases and other attractions that will be announced closer to the date.
Organizers have also made one point clear: Kiss themselves will not perform as a band during the celebration.

John Douglas, longtime guitarist for Scottish indie rock band Trashcan Sinatras, has passed away. The band shared the news in a social media post today, writing that Douglas passed away peacefully on Monday “after a brief illness.” Douglas was 63.

THEY ARE BACK AND WORSER THAN EVER! The original Leeds mad men, the trend-setters for an entire micro-wave of bands you’ve probably never heard of! Gets Worse are the quintessential Leeds grind/violence band: goofy, gonzo and berzerk in ways that would make most North Americans poop their pants. Of all the guitar-less powerviolence bands out there, Gets Worse are perhaps the most, uh, guitar-less. The basses gnash and gnarl their way through unhinged spasms of drumming and mongo vocals that would make even Joe Denunzio proud.
Latest release? No Bones, out now on RSR Records. This record shrieks and wobbles its way into the listener’s heart. I asked ChatGPT to help me write this review and I think it summed it up perfectly when it said “This content violates our policy on explicit material.” It was so beautiful I cried.
