  • Los Angeles Darkwave Artist Mareux Announces Fall 2026 UK and European Tour Dates

Mareux is taking his shadow-laced romance on a trek across the Atlantic. The Los Angeles darkwave artist — the project of musician and producer Aryan Ashtiani — has announced a short run of 2026 UK and European dates, beginning October 30 at Hootananny Brixton in London and continuing through Paris/Montreuil, Athens, Istanbul, and Tbilisi. Current listings place the Paris-area date at Bal Chavaux in Montreuil, the Athens date at Floyd Live Music Venue, the Istanbul date at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş, and the Tbilisi date at Academy.

The dates follow the release of last year’s Nonstop Romance, Mareux’s 2025 full-length for Revolution/Warner Records, a record that widened his smoldering synth-pop into something grander, sleeker, and more fatalistically romantic. The album includes “Blackmail,” “Radio Club,” “Wild At Heart,” “Ébène Fumé” featuring Riki, “Blue,” “Laugh Now Cry Later,” and “Snake Eyes.” Its most recent visual, the August 2025 video for “Wild At Heart,” still serves as a fitting doorway into the record’s world of bruised glamour, late-night longing, and doomed devotion.

Mareux first emerged from the Los Angeles underground in the early 2010s, releasing the Decade EP in 2013 and Predestiny in 2020. Ashtiani has described early musical sparks that ranged from Eurodance heard during summers in Iran to the post-punk revival pull of Interpol and Editors; later, the cold electronic intensity of TR/ST helped steer the project toward its current darkwave direction.

His best-known release remains “The Perfect Girl,” a brooding cover of The Cure’s 1987 song that became a viral streaming phenomenon in 2021. The track’s second life helped introduce Mareux’s cold, romantic synth sound to a much wider audience; its 2022 video starred Violet Chachki, and Warner’s 2023 press materials noted hundreds of millions of streams and billions of TikTok sound views around the track.

That momentum carried Mareux into larger rooms and major festivals. In 2023, he played both weekends of Coachella, released his debut album Lovers From The Past, and launched a headlining global tour with stops in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London, and more. He has also appeared at dark-alternative gatherings, including Darker Waves 2023 and Cruel World 2025.

Before heading overseas, Mareux will appear as a special guest for AFI at an outdoor Santa Ana show on September 19 at Observatory Festival Grounds, with Kumo 99 and L.A. Witch also on the bill.

See the full announced run below.

    Mareux 2026 Tour Dates

  • Hardcore Legends Knocked Loose Just Announced A 2026 Tour That No One Saw Coming

    knocked loose denzel curry

In a move that has completely blindsided both the heavy music community and the hip-hop underground, Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry have officially shattered genre boundaries by announcing a massive, 24-date North American co-headlining tour for fall 2026. If you thought their collaborative track “Hive Mind” was just a one-off experiment, think again.

We have been tracking the insane trajectory of both of these artists closely, and this pairing is easily one of the most volatile, high-energy live bills of the decade. The continent is absolutely not ready for the chaos that is about to erupt this September.

From “Hive Mind” to a Full-Blown Continental Onslaught

This historic pairing didn’t just happen by accident. Earlier this year, the track “Hive Mind” proved that Knocked Loose’s skull-melting metallic hardcore and Denzel Curry’s aggressive, chaotic rap style fit together like gasoline and a match. The accompanying music video—directed by Eric Richter alongside Knocked Loose vocalist Bryan Garris—showcased their shared visual grit right in the band’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

Now, they are taking that raw energy out of the studio and onto the pavement. The massive 24-date trek officially kicks off this September, tearing through major metropolitan hubs including Chicago, New York City, Toronto, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, and an ultimate closer in Mexico City.

If you want in on this madness, you need to act fast. The artist presale kicks off on Tuesday, June 2, with general on-sale tickets becoming available to the public on Thursday, June 4.

Unstoppable Momentum: Dominating the Global Stage

Both acts are currently operating at the absolute peak of their creative and commercial powers. Knocked Loose is currently overseas playing directly before the legendary Metallica across Europe, hot on the heels of their universally lauded 2024 full-length You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To. That definitive album—produced by heavy-music hitmaker Drew Fulk—secured the band a historic Grammy nomination for the chaotic anthem “Suffocate” featuring Poppy. It completely redefined what a modern independent hardcore band can achieve, selling out massive rooms alongside Show Me The Body, Speed, and Loathe.

Denzel Curry has been on an equally relentless tear. After supporting alternative metal icons Deftones across their massive UK and European run earlier this spring, Curry dropped his highly anticipated collaborative project Strictly 4 The Scythe. Featuring a murderer’s row of talent including A$AP Ferg, TiaCorine, BKTHERULA, and Key Nyata, the release solidified his status as a rap artist with an undeniable rock-leaning intensity. Seeing these two forces share a marquee is history in the making.

    • No Helmet, Spirit In The Room

Last month, Nuclear Blast Records announced the release of a remastered edition of Over The Under. Initially issued in the Fall of 2007, DOWN’s third studio album was produced by Warren Riker and served as a true moment in time, delivering over 60 heartfelt minutes of sonic frustration with songs addressing the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and personal turmoil.

The 2026 edition of Over The Under features remastered audio by Eric Koondel (Soilwork, Cynic, Malevolent Creation, Death) and marks the first time the LP will be officially available in the US market. Additionally, the CD and digital versions include bonus track “Invest In Fear” (the first time the track will be available on a US physical release and on Digital Service Providers worldwide).

DOWN’s Over The Under remaster will be available on CD, LP, and digital formats on June 19th. Find preorders HERE.

Additionally, DOWN’s special cover of Dr. John’s “Right Place, Wrong Time,” initially released in video form to celebrate Mardi Gras earlier this year, is currently available on all streaming platforms!

New Orleans native Dr. John was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. His music combined New Orleans blues, jazz, R&B, soul, and funk. “Right Place, Wrong Time” was the first single from Dr. John’s 1973 album, In the Right Place, and became the most popular single of his career. The song has been featured in various films and television shows, including “Dazed And Confused” and “American Horror Story: Coven”. DOWN’s cover of “Right Place, Wrong Time” is an homage to Dr. John and his appearances on The Midnight Special TV series, a late-night musical variety show that aired from 1972 to 1981.

Stream DOWN’s rendition of Dr. John’s “Right Place, Wrong Time” HERE.

You know it’s DOWN as soon as you hear them. Featuring vocalist Philip H. Anselmo, guitarists Pepper Keenan and Kirk Windstein, drummer Jimmy Bower, and bassist Pat Bruders, there’s no mistaking those gargantuan riffs, swamp blues leads, crashing drums, and hypnotic howls for absolutely anybody else under the sun. The band upholds a certain tradition that countless fans celebrate, expanding their own musical mythos as they leave its pillars intact and untouched.

With a collective resume encompassing Pantera, Corrosion Of Conformity, Crowbar, and EyeHateGod, the quintet puffed out its first haze of sonic smoke from the belly of gritty old New Orleans on the 1995 platinum-selling classic, NOLA. At that moment, they naturally summoned something akin to a ritual, continually partaking in it with critically revered offerings – Down II: A Bustle In Your Hedgerow in 2002, Down III: Over The Under in 2007, Down IVPart One in 2012, and Down IV – Part Two in 2014.

Their shows built a certain live lore with unforgettable runs alongside Metallica and Heaven & Hell, as well as coveted spots on iconic festivals like Download, Soundwave, Ozzfest, and so many others, forever delivering passionate, powerful, pure heavy music you can feel deep down in your soul.

Stand by for updates on new DOWN music in the months to come.
