BROADSLAB UNLEASHES OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR “LESLIE” — TURN ON, TUNE IN & BREAK ON THROUGH
North Carolina “Hellacious Soul Metal” outfit takes viewers into the Ancient Gallery for a psychedelic new visual
BENSON, NC — September 4, 2026 — North Carolina’s purveyors of “Hellacious Soul Metal,” BROADSLAB, have unleashed the official music video for “Leslie,” a track from their latest full-length album, The Fifth Essence , released via Electric Desert Records .
A couple of weeks ago, Broadslab ventured into the Ancient Gallery , bringing filmmaker Garret Barefoot of BlackPlate Productions along for the ride. The result is a visual journey that perfectly complements the band’s heavy, groove-driven sound and psychedelic Southern soul.
Turn on. Tune in. Break on through to the other side.
Watch the official video for “Leslie” now:
“Leslie” is featured on The Fifth Essence , Broadslab’s full-length statement of Southern grit, psychedelic atmosphere, classic rock swagger, and down-tuned heavy metal muscle. The album captures the band’s self-described “Hellacious Soul Metal” sound, combining thick riffs, swampy grooves, soulful swagger, and an unmistakable outlaw spirit.
Broadslab draw deep inspiration from the sounds of classic heavy rock while pushing those influences into darker and heavier territory. Fans of Corrosion of Conformity, Superjoint Ritual, and Down will find plenty to sink their teeth into, but Broadslab have forged a sound that belongs entirely to them.
The band’s name itself comes from a region steeped in North Carolina moonshine history, and that backroads DNA runs through their music. There’s a little outlaw attitude, a little psychedelic haze, a whole lot of riff worship, and absolutely no interest in polishing off the rough edges.
The Fifth Essence was recorded and mixed by Mike Dean and produced by Broadslab and Mike Dean , capturing the band’s raw energy without sanding away the grit that makes them tick.
North Carolina concert promoter Tony “Dio” Leonard previously summed up the Broadslab experience with a description that needs little explanation:
“If the Allman Brothers, Black Sabbath and Captain Beyond had a threesome, Broadslab would be the dirty result.”
Now, with the official “Leslie” video unleashed, Broadslab invite listeners to step into the Ancient Gallery and experience the song from another dimension.
The album is already out. The video is live. The riffs are loaded.
BROADSLAB are ready to roll.

EVANESCENCE Shares Music Video For “Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough”
Evanescence has dropped the official music video for “Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough.” Directed by Eric Richter and shot during the band’s recent North American tour run, the clip backs a track written for anyone who’s had enough of being controlled and manipulated, questioning how much people are willing to give up just to avoid conflict when it’s really time to push back. The song was co-written and produced by Zakk Cervini (Bad Omens, Yungblud, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox) and Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon, Poppy, House Of Protection, Architects).
The band’s previous single, “Who Will You Follow,” became the fastest-moving rock radio track of its career, cracking the Top 10 at U.S. rock radio in under a month and eventually topping Billboard‘s U.S. and Canadian Mainstream Rock charts and its Rock & Alternative chart, while also landing Evanescence‘s first-ever No. 1 on the Hard Rock chart. Meanwhile, “Bring Me To Life” recently picked up diamond certification from the RIAA, making it just the 14th song ever to reach that mark off a diamond-certified album.
During the North American leg of its 2026 world tour, Evanescence partnered with PLUS1 to help widen access to health resources across the continent, with the run raising close to a quarter-million dollars for Direct Relief and Help Hope Live, organizations supporting people facing poverty, emergencies and unmanageable medical costs.
Evanescence launches the European arena leg of the tour Sept. 8 at First Direct Arena in Leeds. Poppy supports on all European dates, K-Flay, who features on “Fight Like A Girl,” Evanescence‘s end-title song from last year’s Ballerina, from the John Wick universe, opens the U.K. shows, and Nova Twins open the rest of the European run.
Evanescence‘s latest album, Sanctuary, is out now as a digital release, standard CD, deluxe CD and limited-edition box set, with a double vinyl pressing arriving Sept. 4. The deluxe CD, exclusive to the band’s webstore, comes with a Blu-ray featuring the Live In São Paulo concert documentary from the band’s 2023 South America tour, plus a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the “Who Will You Follow” video. The deluxe vinyl edition is also webstore-exclusive.

Downtown Boys, Flock Of Dimes, Pissed Jeans, & More Sub Pop Artists Cover Minnesota Musicians On New Benefit Comp Maximum MN
The state of Minnesota has a pretty incredible musical legacy, and that legacy is the focus of a new digital compilation from the people at Sub Pop. The label is using the term “mixtape” to refer to Maximum MN, but we already know that it’s the kind of classic compilation that Sub Pop might’ve release decades ago. This particular release is a benefit for the International Institute Of Minnesota, an organization that aids immigrants and refugees, in the wake of ICE’s murderous raids on the state.

METALLICA’s ALL WITHIN MY HANDS Teams Up With CNH For Charity Auction
Metallica‘s foundation, All Within My Hands, is teaming up with CASE Construction Equipment, a brand under CNH, for a Labor Day auction supporting skilled trade education. This Labor Day weekend, edition 1 of 25 handmade “Hetskid” units, a CASE skid steer inspired by James Hetfield, goes up for bidding on the Purple Wave auction site.
“These are the kinds of relationships we love,” says Renee Richardson, director of philanthropy at All Within My Hands.
“Since day one, the team at CNH has embraced the work All Within My Hands is doing across the board. From direct financial support to the Metallica Scholars Initiative, where we provide funding for trade education, to volunteering with us at food banks along Metallica‘s “M72″ world tour, and now this incredible machine that I dare anyone to actually use in the dirt!”
Built at the CASE production facility in Wichita, Kan., the TV450B compact track loader is an industry workhorse designed for digging, loading, and dumping across commercial, residential, and landscaping jobs. This particular unit is the first off the production line and matches the one headed for Hetfield‘s own ranch. The Metallica frontman and co-founder commissioned the design back in 2024 as part of an equipment supply deal with CASE, making this auction a rare shot at owning a piece of both CASE and Metallica history.
Purple Wave Auction, a no-reserve online equipment marketplace, is running the sale through Dec. 17, with 100% of the final price going straight to All Within My Hands and its Metallica Scholars Initiative. Purple Wave is even covering the standard 10% buyer’s premium itself, so every dollar raised goes to the cause. Bidders can register for free and search “Hetskid” at purplewave.com.
Founded in 2017 by Metallica‘s members and management, All Within My Hands is a non-profit dedicated to building sustainable communities through workforce education, hunger relief, and other local support programs. Because Metallica covers the foundation’s administrative costs, every dollar donated goes directly to the causes it supports. To date, the organization has handed out $19 million in grants for career and technical education through its Metallica Scholars Initiative, along with $8.8 million toward fighting food insecurity and $6.2 million for disaster relief and other critical services worldwide.
CNH, the agriculture and construction equipment giant behind brands like Case IH, New Holland and STEYR, operates in more than 160 markets with a global workforce of over 34,000 and pulled in $18.1 billion in revenue in 2025. With roots dating back to 1842, the company has racked up a string of industry firsts, including the first mass-produced tractor and the first twin-rotor combine, and continues developing autonomous and precision farming technology.
Purple Wave, meanwhile, has built its reputation since 2000 as one of the top online auction platforms for construction, agriculture and fleet equipment, handling everything from photography and marketing to bidder vetting and payment so sellers can turn equipment into cash with minimal hassle.

Everything Dies Announces New EP Still Alive…Despite Everything – @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Everything Dies Announces New EP Still Alive…Despite Everything
Atmospheric Depressive Black Metal Act Everything Dies to Release Deeply Personal New EP October 16, 2026 via NargathrondMusic
For Fans Of: Harakiri For The Sky, Nocturnal Depression, Psychonaut 4
Everything Dies will release their new EP, Still Alive…Despite Everything , on October 16, 2026 via NargathrondMusic. Blending atmospheric depressive black metal with melancholic soundscapes and raw emotional intensity, the four-track EP is a deeply personal exploration of loss, emotional distance, fractured communication and the difficult process of letting go.
Built around the aftermath of a relationship falling apart, Still Alive…Despite Everything approaches heartbreak from a perspective that is often overlooked. There is no villain. No betrayal to point toward. No easy explanation for why something that once meant everything can slowly disappear.
Sometimes, people simply lose the ability to understand one another. Communication fades. Emotional distance grows. Eventually, two people who once shared their lives are left facing the painful reality that something between them has changed beyond repair.
Rather than becoming an accusation or an exercise in resentment, Still Alive…Despite Everything serves as a personal document of that realization.
Across four songs, Everything Dies moves through melancholy, despair and reflection, capturing the memories that remain after a meaningful connection has disappeared. The EP explores what it means to continue living when something deeply important has died, while holding onto the possibility that moving forward does not require forgetting what came before.
Musically, Everything Dies draws from the bleak emotional atmosphere of depressive black metal while incorporating expansive, melancholic textures that allow the songs to breathe beneath their weight. The result is music that feels intimate and devastating without relying on anger or blame.
At its core, Still Alive…Despite Everything is about the strange contradiction of losing someone you never wanted to lose and somehow finding yourself still standing afterward.
Because sometimes a relationship dies.
And somehow, despite everything…
you are still alive.
Still Alive…Despite Everything will be released October 16, 2026 through NargathrondMusic .

MATANZICK Confirmed for Runway Rock Fest 2027 Alongside Dirkschneider, Roy Khan, Gotthard, Pretty Maids & More
Norwegian Metal Force MATANZICK Joins Stacked Runway Rock Fest 2027 Lineup at Starmoen Airfield
May 21–22, 2027 | Starmoen Airfield, Elverum, Norway
Norwegian metal force MATANZICK is officially confirmed for Runway Rock Fest 2027 , taking place May 21–22, 2027 at Starmoen Airfield in Elverum, Norway. The announcement places MATANZICK on a massive festival bill alongside some of the biggest names in rock and metal, including Dirkschneider performing a special Accept set, Roy Khan, Gotthard, Pretty Maids, H.E.A.T, Michael Monroe, Girlschool, Tank , and more still to be announced.
For a band that has spent more than a decade building its reputation through hard work, aggressive songwriting, and high-energy live performances, the Runway Rock Fest 2027 confirmation marks another major step forward for MATANZICK.
Formed in 2010, MATANZICK has developed a sound rooted in heavy metal, thrash, and groove metal, combining precision riffing, powerful rhythms, and an uncompromising live attack. The band’s approach is straightforward: write strong songs, play them loud, and let the music do the talking.
That philosophy was on full display with the band’s latest album, Chronicles of the Abyss , originally released November 28, 2025. The album showcases MATANZICK at its most focused and aggressive, delivering a collection of songs built around crushing riffs, tight musicianship, and a raw, modern edge without losing sight of the traditional metal foundation at the heart of the band.
The album has already received strong reactions from European metal media, with reviews landing in the 8/10 to 9/10 range and praise directed toward the band’s combination of aggression, precision, atmosphere, and consistency.
The campaign surrounding Chronicles of the Abyss continues with the official music video for “Shattered Omen,” giving listeners another look at the sound and intensity MATANZICK will bring to the stage.

Now, with Runway Rock Fest 2027 officially confirmed and additional live activity on the horizon, MATANZICK is looking ahead to an increasingly busy chapter.
The festival’s 2027 lineup already represents a heavyweight gathering of classic and modern rock and metal, making MATANZICK’s inclusion a significant opportunity to introduce their brand of uncompromising Norwegian metal to an even wider audience.
And the band is ready.
MATANZICK Statement
“Chronicles of the Abyss is our most focused and aggressive work. Built on riffs, energy, and everything that defines us as a band.”
With Runway Rock Fest 2027 now on the calendar, MATANZICK is continuing to build momentum both at home and internationally. The band is available for interviews and is preparing additional live activity and plans throughout 2027.
This is Norwegian metal with no unnecessary decoration and no interest in following trends. Just riffs, energy, attitude, and the kind of heavy music that is meant to be played loud.
MATANZICK is ready for the runway.
